Opinions...geeze...never was too good with these.
I think it's an interesting piece of craftsmanship that is likely one of the ugliest SLO's I've ever seen. From the confusing blade coloration to the uncomfortable looking handle, I wouldn't hang it on my wall if I could get away with it.
His technique, however, is interesting. The demonstration using clay is ingenious and I would not have thought of that. I wonder if historic smiths trained their apprentices that way before allowing them to touch metal.
That is, however, just my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

interesting, though it looked like a peace of "art" rather then a functional sword. though my question is why did he bother making it out of titanium.

I have no idea, it's just one of the few things I found about how to work titanium. But as was pointed out previously steel is the better choice of metal for building something functional.

I think the reason he made it out of titanium was for a blade show, I think. It was intended as a work of art, not a real sword.

I think he is pounding clay for demonstration purposes, which doesn't seem too odd to me. Otherwise he would have to actually make another sword to show how he had done it.
