Looks like some cool fantasy stuff, unfortunatly here in Georgia it's just to darn hot to wear anything like that to the renfest.I have similar armor and I know if I owned it when we lived and went to the NY renfest in Stirling forest it would work out great to wear. Here in GA somedays even a loin cloth is to much. I have some pics of my armor but none wearing it for some reason,I should probably take some. Front BACK SIDE

I should have mentioned mine was made by Slayer (George) from the enchanted cottage. A few more pics of the tassets,Greaves and the arm pieces wit a pair of matching short swords I usually carry with the armor. I figured what the heck I hardly ever get to show it so sorry for all the pics. Trying on my helmet after i finished adding the leather to it.

That is some really neat looking stuff; a few years back I would've been all over it. Thanks for sharing, Sam.

Thanks I've never seen either site's that were posted, here's another. I have been into the viking/fantasy types of armour for years.I would love a suit of real plate but for now the leather does fine. Plus it looks great and I get my picture taken at the renfest a lot. www.leatherlore.com/armor.htm

I'd love to know how they do colours like that on armour, is seriously awesome, especially the dragon armour. I'd like to try my hand at making leather armour but I am all thumbs.

Skallagrim and I were into leather work some years ago, unfortunately here in Norway we don't have the access to material and the customers to go on. Here are some pics of stuff we made, of course nothing is as good as the things you can buy from official vendors: One of the first armors we made, I still like the color though Custom work for a person who wanted a more "evil" look That was a birthday present for Skall's father Last armor we made, the clan logo turned out nice, I think He wanted it to look rag tag, I mean, come on, he played an orc... that furs really smelled The boy's father finally gave in and ordered the custom scale mail. Making armor child sized was actually quite hard, still turned out a tad too big, but hey, he'll grow into it ;D Fantasy Celts like their heavy belts and random shoulders pads Helmets always are the hardest to make, and still sell the worst... Man, I miss to work with leather... even though it is hard and unnerving at times. ;D

Wow! I like your guys work! If you ever move to Canada, expect a commission from me! You could send us the commission and I'll see what we can do. At the very least we could buy some leather especially for the commission over in Germany when we visit next time. So just give me a sign.

I just visited a VERY nice shop that sold leather and leather working equipment a couple of days ago. (I went there for their buffalo horns ) Even had a big basket of leather marked "For reenactors". Jørn Jensen Lærhandel in Lillestrøm, look them up on the web. I did a try some years back to make leather viking armour, with an integrated cloak. The armour is very simple, but the helmet took a lot of work. The neck protection is made of leather squares pieced together by brass rings, and the nose bridge has a carved design stolen from the stem of the Oseberg ship.

Wow, the helmet looks really great, and I know how hard they are to get right. The armor is also nice. Can we get a picture of you wearing the stuff?
Were did you buy the leather to make it, I couldn't locate an inexpensive source of leather here in Norway?

I remember this guy from back in the day; looks like he's switched up his site; I'm digging the Drizzt package. Given the pricing, I like that he offers payment plans to accomodate those of us w/out a couple thousand to just toss around.
