oh come on guys!(at least most of you) naming swords is great fun!
my last legend sword is named korasugiri (which I think means crow cutter) because my friend once slew a crow with it.
my bugei sword is named wazamonoto (which I think means very sharp sword)
my cheap (but sentimental) stainless ninja sword is named The ninjutsu knife because its "full tang" handle looks like that of a steak knife
my cold steel katana is named Lynn C.'s lemon (Lynn C. is the first and middle name of cold steel's president) because the one I was sent came dull and with a loose tsuba and kashira. Lastly my I'm not sure what sword, is named arete (which in I forget what language means knife edge)

I call my Kaze Katana, "Fred." If you read the book, you'd understand.

I must agree with Harold, it's not about the uniqueness of a sword, its how it makes you feel inside. The number of the type of swords made isnt an issue to me, methinks that its really what the owner wants with the sword. If its corny to name a sword that isnt that unique, then wouldnt that make it corny to own a sword in this day and age

I prefer traditional names. If the sword's a boy, then it's Mike, Steve, or Jim. If it's a girl, then it's Mary, Amy, or Kim... I happen to have it on good authority that Rammstein owns a pair of stainless eBay wallhanger kats that he affectionately calls Mary-Kate and Ashley. ;D
