This is a really beautiful katana, I have always been a huge fan of silver fittings. Great job!

Wow! Gorgeous! This is very impressive and certainly does not look like you are a beginner by any measure The only thing that I can suggest is to perhaps do something with the saya itself (not just the sageo) to further link things together. Perhaps a silver kojiri to match? or some inlays or slight color variation like slavia does?

Thanks again!
Youkouyuri, the saya actually has same inlay in the kurikata area, but it doesn't show so well on the pics. I'll have to sand down the laquer and brighten it up a bit, and that should make for a better transition. I've also thought of a koiguchi and kojiri, but it is hard to find a matching set.

Hehe figures you would already have thought of it!
I'll look closer for the inlays, that's a nice touch.
Oh yes! And almost forgot. Well deserved karma of course ^_~

A couple of natural light pics. In the last pic you can clearly see the tsuka shape.

Nice work as usual Ichi! I'm been working on a tanto tsuka myself...a lot harder than it looks. I may have to change the species of wood; currently using maple; pretty hard to work with wood chisels. I always enjoy looking at your work.
