Big question.......would an accusharp work on my Magnum Khukri, the factory edge is crapstatic at the best rate, and it takes forever with my sharpening stone................can anyone give an impression of this?

If you go watch absilits' axe sharpening video, it may actually work if you use a file on it. A sander would be better for such a large blade, but work with what you can afford. And to answer your question, no probably not, it would put a third bevel on that.

I'd go with a file mate. If cold steel knows how to do somethin' it's heat treat (at least, in my experience).

I wouldn't go with a drimmel on that. Stones to small and its easy to make a mistake if the speeds to high. Maybe we can get an update from Jose on how or if he sharpened it.

Aku, I sharpen my CS machetes by hand with a sharpening stone. I move the stone at a fixed angle down the length of the blade in two (2)regions. On the khukri (I have the regular sized model) I sharpen just past the point where it ceases to be concave downward. Then I reorient and sharpen the region to the tip (where it is concave upward). I get some overlap at the transition point which I touch up last. Turn over and repeat. The edge so produced may not be as sharp as most new knives, but it will cut flesh easily. How do you like the Peace Keeper I?
