Ughhhh, stomach don't fail me now! LMAO, that statement plus the avatar is priceless. Hey Ken, I know this is the wrong thread, but how badly are the bevels of your axes damaged?

Pretty bad now, Pending buying the allen foundry axes I decided to experiment with the bevel lengths on them and realized I would have to take off quite a bit of steel to take out the dings from hitting the head of the other axe during throws, but something about these things just doesn't want to stick into anything but very loose wood. I maybe it's the geometry of the axe itself rather than the bevel length but I'm really disliking these cold steel things.
I don't imagine it would be very difficult to fix it up to normal, I have a basic understanding of sharpening knives and tools. I also have a stationary belt sander with a sanding wheel on the side of it that has an adjustable tool rest that I can use for the initial beveling, then maybe touch them up with a rough/fine stone.
EDIT, I'm actually right in the middle of moving to the other house now so within the next week or so I'll have this Raw blade ordered and I can get myself a target built and snag some cash for the Allen foundry 'Hawks so I will start really throwing soon. I'll also make a video or two now that I have a decent enough camera for it.

One thing not to do. Don't put them on a grinding wheel. Sanding disc is ok if care is taken, but never a grinder. I'm still working on the damn video, bear with me.

Yeah I was using a sanding disk, grinders have eaten enough of my knives for me to know not to use them :X
