Yeah...I think its pretty reasonable for this sword... I know $699 is still alot of money...but this is a lot of sword Your just not going to find a better no-dachi at that price... or anywhere close....

Agreed. I'm just wondering how long it'll take me to have $699 to spare for this thing. Oh well, onto the list it goes.

Beautiful pictures Marc I thought your azalea was in bloom for a second there, floral confusion. I just wanted to add some thoughts here that Loren shared with me after looking at the review... Loren is quite knowlegable about flora and fawna , and their place in Japanese culture... This is what he wrote It seems my use of a camelia blossom had more meaning and symbolism than I intended... and the beheading reference is kind of apropros given the blossom resting on the blade... I found this very interesting and wanted to share it...

GREAT review! I'm sondering about its historical use though... How would it be wielded? Is it handled like a giant katana, or is it handled with a similar mentality of the chinese Miao-Dao; whose practitioners treat and handle it more like a spear or halberd with an unusually short handle as opposed to a sword with a long blade?
