Hi to everyone,
Due to new acquisitions and moving to a new country, I have to seel some items. Firstly, I wanna propose this original QI JIAN produced by HANWEI. It is very rare, since it is now out of stock, and so it became very expensive among collectors.
DESCRIPTION
The model is manufactured by Hanwei, based on a Chinese ancient specimen of the Qi dynasty. It is therefore a jian, straight double edged sword. The particulat characteristic of this jian is that is made out of a single piece of steel, including handle and guard and pommel. It is not assembled, but forged in one single piece, as it was used in very ancient times.
As a result of its manufacturing, the balance is toward the guard, thus making it very light and very handy to use. It is perfect for martial arts practice, if you need a sword that is not flexy as modern wushu swords, but that it is still light and easy in the hand.
Due to its being made of a single piece of steel, another unique characteristic of the sword is that it makes a very clear sound if touched by metal, like a tibetan bell.
The scabbard is made of rosewood with metal black fittings, while the handle and the firt third of the scabbard are wrapped in genuine rayskin. The rayskin in the handle assures a firmer grip, aspecially with gloves.

CONDITION
The sword is basically new having being used only a few times. The rayskin on the handle is slightly lighter, but it contributes to prove its authenticity (see pictures).

PRICE
Being out of stock and very rare, and being in excellent condition, I sell it for 850 EUR including shipping. Please note that in shops where they still have it it may cost up to 2000 USD as far as I know.
