I would be interested also. Im just a backyard cutter, but never had the pleasure if cutting tatami. Most production katana I have had over the years have been mediocre would like to try one that lives up to the hype. Would like to get into doing reviews also.

Happy to join the fun here. Would be fun to test out a tamashigiri blade. There a not a lot of wide blades out there and it is an underserved category.
Happy to review the sword in video and put something up in writing. I could also compare it to the various wide blades available. I have a few different wide blades I could compare it with.

Hello I am very interested I have a fairly new cutting video on my FaceBook page. Gun disarm and decapitation of a second standing in front of me. I mostly collect and restore old nihonto or WW2 Nihonto. I will make a Youtube video on a channel with tags and also a video on my Facebook with tags. I would be cutting several different objects giving my honest opinion about this blade. I can add theatrics and can compose my own alternative rock music for the video. I have a high class antique kimono collection and I will be wearing on of my newly obtained outfits. I can even do a Halloween theme short training video in the forest of the mountains. I live in BC Canada. I guarantee I will make an entertaining video that will be worth the time and funds to send me this sword and matts. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I can also use a historical sword in my collection that was used in a cutting test before the Emperor of Japan in the 1920's to test some of the mats. I only take it out for special occasions. Thanks again Ichi

I'd be up for this and I love using wide blades. Would make a videos and compare it to my recent swordier katana-chokuto and hanwei XL light.

Paul,
I would be open to helping out on this as well. It has been a while since I did reviews and wrote for the SBG Digest, but I have a long history including working at CAS Hanwei, majoring in Martial Arts, and now practice HEMA, MOF, and Kendo.
If interested, I could get a group together to do a review from the Indiana Token Kai (the largest Midwest group of antique Japanese sword collectors) and my kendo/iaido dojo. I think it would be fun to have a whole bunch of different sword practitioners give it a try.
