Looking for quality make of the longest sword someone can think of that is not a wall hanger in any respects. I’m 6’ 2” so do me in for a big one, mate. I know of some but I just don’t see enough options out there and I’m wondering if I’m missing something big, literally.

Can’t get much bigger than that.

Okay, rated PG answers only… lol
Though not the longest ever, maybe consider the French 1822 Heavy Cav Saber. It runs about 4’ OAL, and is a very large and imposing sword. Being an actual military sword intended for use in the field, it is the opposite of a wall hanger. It is also a sword model that boasts outstanding (imho) handling and very high performance.
Examples in very good condition tend to cost less than an Albion.
Just a thought.

Seconding Regenyei, I own a slightly customized montante of theirs. Wonderfully agile and nicely balanced. Only caveat is the grip. I asked for a one-piece leather grip (an option they don’t offer anymore) and it came out pretty rough. Functional, but not pretty. They’re a HEMA supplier, not Albion. The wire+leather wrap option looks nice though.
Quality production greatswords are pretty niche, so you’ll probably have to look at custom smith work if you’re not satisfied with anything on the market. The terms “montante”, “spadone”, and “zweihander” (all pretty much the same sword) should net you results on Google. These are the biggest swords historically to my knowledge.
Also, on the off chance you’re interested in swordplay, here’s an example of Renaissance greatsword usage. Obviously, don’t attempt to replicate this with a sharp:

Very disciplined. I’m impressed!

If your willing to sacrifice length for some girth and overkill blade presence, a friend had Purna darnal make this beastly fantasy blade. At 7lbs(but still balanced) it's definitely at the upper limit of what can be wielded as a sword. With adjustments to the base you can make it lighter and a little longer , and of course the fittings can be changed to something more traditional. PD is definitely the option if you got cash and want something fast. With Albion and most the other notable makers you'll be waiting well over a year.

Albion has at least one big ass sword that shares the same blade as the Maxamillian, or a Maximillian itself for each in person event they go to. So most likely there is good chance you could get it quick if you go to combat con this summer. Or have a proxy buyer.

It's an in person event in July for Las Vegas which will have a Hema sparring competition, alongside a cutting competition for longsword and arming sword. There will be many sword makers that set booths there including Albion.

Ok, and do I have to do anything or can I just go. Also if I do does it cost the same amount as I would pay to get a new sword?

There's an entry fee into the event, but otherwise you can just go if you're in the area.
It would cost the same as buying it normally from Albion. Just no shipping or wait time involved.

Thanks, that's pretty sweet. Not a big fan of Las Vegas though... is there any east coast similar events?
