Good show!!! Canadians and many others are suffering now due to exchange rates, but I can obtain this sword for $244 CAD, here in Canada. That's only about $197 USD. I can't even get a UC LOTR wall hanger for that! Where from?

I checked the link... no images, sad. Also, they show the conversion of 255CA to be, oddly, 255US. What up with that?) Have you ever bought from those people? If they are trustworthy, the price is actualy 206.00, and if the shipping isn't to bad, I'd be inclined to buy it right now.

I have no experience with them whatsoever. I found them through a Google search wherein I was simply looking for the lowest price on a DF Musha kat. S'pose it wouldn't hurt for one of us to email them... Bearing in mind, of course, I don't now what kind of taxes etc. would apply to buying a sword from their part of Canada. I know Reliks is Canadian, but I didn't bother much to look into where shinken.ca was. All I can say from browsing theit site is that I personally wouldn't buy from them. The cheapest I've found the Musha kat elsewhere, though, is $269 US. Unless ol' Mythos wants to cough up his source?

Unless ol' Mythos wants to cough up his source? From looking over the site, I'd agree with you... dosn't give me the 'Trust this retailer and buy from them' vibe, sadly. So hopefully Mythos will cough up that source... ;D Barring that, who has the Musha for $269, and would you say they are a trustworthy seller?

I found a few places with that price, most of which looked good enough. I'm on my phone now, coming into work, so I won't be able to consult Google again probably until closer to midnight my time (presently 14:30) so if you really must know, "dynasty forge musha katana" was all I used to search.

www.reliks.com/merchant.ihtml?pid=2660Sorry, it's $244.99. There are none in stock. You may tag your name to the next order. If DF has stock shortages, you wait. They claim to be very close to DF (preferred treatment). I was dillydallying so that I could pick before all you vultures descended.

Great review Ken - and they do certainly look to be well made swords. Personally I also prefer no hamon on a TH Kat. I mentioned this somewhere else I think, but Cheness started out with no hamon on their TH line and had to add it because people kept asking for it... Anyway, there is little doubt that they are amoung the best sub US$300 swords out there (the Reliks price is especially good, though this looks slightly different - is it a 1st generation? I'll check with Chris and see).. I may well be interested in trying one out for myself. A long while ago I was looking at this line, but a Sensei friend of mine suggested that his own experience with Dynasty was that the blades were excellent, but the fittings not so different from others in the price range - (i.e. saya rattle, cracked tsuka, etc). Still, worth a closer look - and a great review worth 30 points.

Forget it. Reliks is currently updating their pricing to reflect the currency exchage rate. Some day there will be one global currency. CAD & USD will both be worthless. www.reliks.com/merchant.ihtml?pid=2660$279.99 CAD or approx. $227 USD. Still pretty good.

I found a couple spots selling it around $244 or so... but I'm having a hard time finding the No Hi version. Most placs either have it only with Bo Hi, or if they DO offer the No Hi they don't show it in their pictures or don't specify.

woot. This was the answer to the prayers I had been spewing in my thread about a trustworthy cutter!
this baby seems to have the best of all the sword positives in the sub $300 category. It's like having the strength and (better?) furniture of a cold steel, yet the handling and blade size of a cheness!
Exactly the kind of sword I'm looking for!
Now.... let's see if I can find this for $250....

And it's free ship in the US and $50 off international shipping during the holidays bought directly from Dynasty... seriously considering one now.

Just the other day i ordered a Musha from Wiwingti, waiting for it now. This review was what made me completely abandon the idea to buy a Hanwei PPK and go for the DF. Great review.
