Letting go of this to recoup funds from another sword purchase. I love this thing, but I think down the road I want to own a Thibault-style rapier instead. This was bought new from KultofAthena. The finish on the hilt is the dull sand-blasted grey of the initial production run(s). Comes with a leather-wrapped wood-core scabbard. I must disclose that the section of scabbard that covers the ricasso on the back side has gotten caught on the guard, and some of the leather detached from the wood. This is how it arrived to me from KoA - will include an additional picture showing that. Sword has only been used for display and dry handling. No cutting (or thrusting) has been done. Asking $500 shipped within the continental US. Accepting Zelle and PayPal F&F.

Thankfully it should be possible to glue the leather back in place.
Maybe LK Chen could benefit from improving the wood cores in their scabbards if possible. I’ve noticed they tend to be kind of splintery, and that may have weakened the adhesion at the ricasso section on the rapiers.
