Price increase has shown up - 15% across the board. That's more-or-less what I was expecting. It moves lower to mid cost models in line with what, for example, Gus Trim is charging these days, in the $1000 to $1450 range I'm a little surprised that it's an across the board percentage increase instead of a flat dollar amount per sword like Todd suggested, though, as their most expensive swords got even larger price increases compared to the rest. The more expensive Museum Line swords are now around $3k. At that price, I'd rather commission a custom piece from Maciej Kopciuch

Yeah pretty wild price hike for more expensive models. But Albion has to pay the bills to stay profitable so it makes sense. Sadly will put some swords out of budget for some people a bit more. But they are still worth the price they charge in value absolutely. We just got spoiled with them not matching for inflation over the last 10 years.

Laird Might not count; I got it from KoA in-stock. I wonder if previous placed orders with KOA will honor old price with deposits before November 1st. Or if we will be required to pay the new difference. I'm assuming legally it would be more likely to be the former.

KoA sent emails to get people to place orders before the price increase, so "get in now before the price goes up" was the sales pitch. I can't see them raising prices on anything that already had a deposit placed since KoA's price didn't go up on those items.

Since KoA has not adapted the Albion prices on their website yet you might technically still be able to order at pre-raise price levels or am I mistaken?

Price increase has shown up - 15% across the board. I am glad they have done it. Costs have increased across the board for everyone and I for one want Albion to remain successful and in business and its employees, all craftsmen, well paid.

And if you're in the market for a high-end medival sword, I think their ~$1k models are still some of the best deals available, even after the price hike. I know I love my Constable and Ritter.

I ordered a Baron and a Duke right before they announced the price increase so I didn't put any more orders in.

Honestly, It's not as bad as I expected. Still, I'm glad I bought my Alexandria earlier this year, even if it was 2nd hand. The timing was impeccable.

I am just regretting selling my Albion Crecy in August....if I'd held it a couple of months I'd have had a bit of profit to spend on an antique.

I’m tempted by this big beast: albion-swords.com/product/the-ulvbane/Not a Museum Line (and not a Valkyrja), but quite a looker with epic proportions. Albion calls it a Type XII, and they would know, but the fuller looks closer to a Xa to me. Close enough to pretend to be a Viking for my unsophisticated eyes, anyway.

Since they have the Roman period swords and earlier. Then jump straight to the dark age ones for viking swords. I bet it would be absolutely gorgeous but sold out super fast haha

I have had a Laird and Caithness on order for quite a long time. Recently received the Sheriff. I have been lucky over the years to have owned the majority of Albion sword models. Sold many and replaced the ones I missed the most. I also have a healthy firearm collection. Could retire a 2nd time next year at 62 from my federal agency. Thinking I might work to 65. Money is good and the work fairly stress free......lol Location sucks though (around DC). I really need to downsize the sword collection. Have gradually been selling off the "good" stuff as that seems what people want. Have a bunch of lower and mid-priced stuff I have bought over the years. Almost not worth the trouble to box them and mail from a time and money perspective.
