Yes I know the sword did broke on a cow bone but I didn't care this. My father is a butcher and when he want some slices of a cow bone (for some food preparations) he uses a saw and not his axe or knives. Maybe he has his reasons . The sword is a very nice piece and I'm happy with it.

Woah curved all the way through! Nice looking blade. Too bad there is no hamon, it would be extra gorgeous if it did.

good review i remember seeing this; i dont think konron heat treat thier blades correctly edit; however this is only my thought, i am a novice. The guy in this video is an internet buddy of mine. And the whole idea was to test the blade till breaking point. The bone was about 7mm thick all around with thick mergel (inside of bone) inside. After the breaking of the blade he got a medieval heavy axe and cut the bone in half. But the axe had a nasty dent, so the bone was real tough.
