Why do you prefer tip-down carry? Other than basic preference, it almost no chance of cutting your hand. If the knife is tip-up, and you reach into your pocket for your keys and the blade snags open just a little bit, the next time your hand goes into that pocket you are in for a painful surprise. Tip-down doesn't have that problem. Should the blade open at all, sliding one's hand into the pocket will only have you contacting the spine, as opposed to the point/edge. Now, any well-made knife has little chance of opening unless you purposefully open it, but accidents happen. Agreed, I'm for tip down carry as well.

SWEETNESS! Thanks for the video, and the link to this thread over in the 'Got a sword in your pocket' thread. Great knife, and btw Alvin, you are NOT fat and you don't look old either! (BTW, you'd better stop insulting guys with such big knives. ) -Slayer

That's a knife. I like it. Like the quick draw demo too Alvin. I'd like a little more of a dent to sit in to so as to avoid forward slippage on the choked up grip, though it's obviously going to be used for little precision work, not wild stabbing and chopping. Otherwise, lovely. The test video is VERY confidence inspiring.

Thanks for the kind remarks Brenno and Slayer !! I am still very pleased with the knife. It has held up very well...the locking mechanism still locks up like a safe. The only issue that I've had is that the thumb plate at the back of the blade loosened up somewhat. But this was quickly remedied with a hexagonal wrench.
