That's a Katar punch sword, I know that much. But has that got flintlocks on it?
Jeez, that's brutal.
Thanks, -Tajima

Maybe overkill....though I suppose if you punched the guy in the chest and got it hung up in ribs, lungs, and what not.....the recoil of the flintlocks would surely push him off the blade if you needed that follow up stabbing action.....
Hell of a thing to fight a duel with...... ;D

So you shoot'em, stab'em, gut'em then shoot'em again just for good measure! I like that idea! Now to make a katana with a .44mag revolver attached to it. lol

That's amazing. Is that a photo of an original? Or modern ingenuity and artistry?

That is an actual weapon, I have seen those and the regular ones in India when I was there back in 84......The USA and Briton also had there own, but with one gun on the blade.......SanMarc.

In the museum of the royal ship Vasa in Stockholm there is a pistol with an axe in the end of the barrel!
Remember, in those days you had one shot, but likely more than one enemy!

Someone should make a bazooka with a knife attatched to it, or attatched to the rocket, for good measure.

Interesting weapon...I wonder if those flintlocks can fire or are just for show?

Wow, neat finds. Thinking of combination weapons, have you guys seen the lantern shield thread that was on another board recently? The practicality of these kind of things is pretty questionable, but someone went out of the way to make them, which is pretty cool. The flintlock katar is just plain sweet, and could be pretty usefull too. In a close fight, by the time you've fired two shots ranks may have closed, and conveniently you already have a dagger in your hand.
