Peter, Ahhh, I get it now. Sorry. No worries, and thanks for the info. Hmm. It seems that flaring is more common in one-handers than two-handers. Interesting...

As always a pleasure to read, and the cutting vids make this beast look like a very satisfying cutter. I especially loved the double cuts, I'm too clumsy to even attempt them, especially with the cost of tatami mats being what they are for me here in the Southern Hemisphere. (weeps uncontrollably). Definitely look forward to more reviews of the makers mark swords, they may be modern construction but I tell you what, if I was a medieval warrior and had the opportunity to grab one of these I don't think I'd argue..!

Very enjoyable video, just plain fun to watch. I looks like it lusts to cut, and I think Mike is being too modest...nice work.

As you know, I am in the process of picking out my first sword. This is one of my choices. It looks like it meets my standards pretty close, but I was wondering how well it cuts small bottles. You cut a few in the video, but not a lot. If it isn't too great for cutting bottles, I might get the XIIa accent fullered instead. I would only be concerned that the XIIa might not be good for cutting with the tip, since it is more accute.
