And how would you know if vikings didn't use 2 hands? And not all samurai used two hands! And samurai's battle plans were not any more organized or stronger than vikings. all vikings knew how to do is rape men and women, and beat the sh1t out of villagers. If this is true then all samurai's were corrupted and new nothing other than money and got pwned by ninja.

I suggest you watch european unarmoured combat. Where are you getting the idea that vikings ued hammers....? you should see some samurai videos of un armored combat........ and oosthoo said that the vikings used hammers

What about Spartans? One hand would use a shield against the sword while the other jabbed with a spear. yeah but their phalanx would be flanked badly By who? I disagree. It may look easy to flank, but it is obviously a semprini load tougher than it looked.

One hand would use a shield against the sword while the other jabbed with a spear. yeah but their phalanx would be flanked badly Only if you believe the spartans, who lived in a society based entirely off of warfare and probably have more experience on the subject than any other peoples mentioned, to be stupid enough to let them do that. I have - and I'm not all the impressed. The crossgaurd is a tool that wins wars - and without having experienced the importance of it utilized as a suplement to your blade, then I'm afraid the edge goes undoubtedly to the knight. That's an opinion of my behalf though, and I would not be too suprised if it was a stalemate on this portion. Seth is wrong. There is no evidence of the hammer being used as a weapon in europe before, say 1300 ad? That's a guess, but should be pretty close give or take half a century.

And when in desperate need of weapons, anyone would use a hammer.

I strongly suggest you check your further statements for accuracy before posting. The vikings are far from the barbarians we'd like to believe they are. They were a very sophisticated culture, possessed extremely diverse heritages, and were incredibly intelligent. Not to mention the fact that they were amazing fighters. However, they were not a society built for all out war, but instead, were more raiders and pirates instead of a fully formed army like the other 3 groups. They were trained as warriors, but not necessarily for war.

I believe that the samurai skill with swords are better than the knight's knowledge of the sword. Though they are two different types of swords and techniques, The samurai's technique would be more effective IF there was no armor. The reason the knights would possibly beat the samurai in a basttle is because of the armor. If the samurai had knights armor and knights had samurai armor...the conclusion would change

Well, in terms of no armor, the knights were very skilled fighters! How much do you even know of samurai? Their skill isn't exactly enough to make them the #1 fighters on earth!

I think that the samurai and vikings would be such a great match that they would stop and become friends. I hate the last samurai, they really made the samurai look bad than how they can truly fight... I thnk that the vikings would team up with the samurai against the cheap knights and awesome spartans. And i DO LOVE THE VIKINGS THOUGH, I am half philippino and half German and I think that the vikings originated from germany. I love the spartans too. They are pure badass

As somebody else mentioned, each warrior was prepared for an enemy they knew about, and prepared themselves accordingly. In other words, no one warrior is better than another.(it's alot like rock paper scissors) If these warriors all knew of each other before this grand battle ( which is a tid bit more likely) the result would be unknown. However in this situation, the knights would surely win.
The samurai armor(yoroi) was in fact rather light alot of the times. The yoroi could be as light as 20 pounds. O-yoroi on the other hand would tend to be heavier with its decorative add-ons. However o-yoroi tended to be only for generals or to be ceremonial.

Ok, we can agree on one thing. They would all die! There I went there... I am part Scandinavian, which originated in Germany I believe. But I also love the samurai fighting style, but someones gotta defend the Vikings!

Okay, here's the order of who would win. Knights, spartans, vikings and the samurai trailing the pack.
