At some point in the future Albion is supposed to be offering additional type XVIa NextGen longsword models. I would love to see something close to the Crecy design, but with a scent-stopper pommel to increase the grippable area just enough to comfortably accommodate two handed use from those of us with truckasaurus hands.

That would be amazing, I feel like the would make the blade a tad bit more durable and less then than the Vision sword versions. I never used mine to cut anything anyways but the profiling on them is different compared to albion counterpart blades. I loved the Ansbach , I hope an Albion version also looks as pretty.

the ansbach grip is huge (i oxblooded it as promised todd!). A crecy with a scent stopper would sell like hotcakes and id be first in line. the warwick is just so weird looking imho. I dont have a reg crecy to compare it to... Wow!! Its gorgeous! Love the oxblood aesthetic. I have an Albion Crecy I can put a close pic of. I wanted one for the longest time, but was a bit bummed about how short the handle was alongside the disc pommel. Its not as comfortable to handle with the limited space, the scent stopper pommel acts as a longer handle more easily. Hence I am going to try and change out the pommel for another alongside blackening the crossguard as the one I have now is a black handle with satin finish furnishing. I am looking to get the handle dark brown and blackened cross guard with a new blackened or bronzed scent stopper.

What's the lord of the rings style sword there? That a custom or an Albion? Got a full length picture?

The fittings look like a Christian Fletcher Borderwatch built on an Albion Crecy blade, but I could be wrong. Fletcher did a run of exclusive Aragorn Ranger sword inspired blades based of the Crecy and an Atim for a while once upon a time.

Is that the current crecy blades or the older version, I believe the Baron blade is on his other sword the winter warden

Hows the weight, POB, and handling on this Crecy blade compared to the stock albion one? Must be so nice with the other pommel. But i love the stock POB and weight

Thats interesting wouldnt have guessed handling was different when weight, pob and blade were the same. Interesting how every bit can change things

Have any of you purchased the Vision line (Ansbach in particular) with the satin finish hilt furniture instead of the antiqued grey? Not sure of the long term durability of the grey....guess it could be removed later if it starts to wear poorly?
