I have some koshirae sets I'm looking to sell off.
First is a lion dog/peony themed set. I'm selling it all together, not breaking it up.
Two tsubas in lion dog theme (one has a small casting flaw on the rim). The other had a small leftover tab I ground off so now it fits flat. Two sets of menuki, a lion dog fuchi and kashira, and a peony theme koigichi and kojiri. The peony themed parts were actually a fuchi and kashira set I modified. Fuchi and kojiri are 40mm, kojiri about 37.
Asking $125 shipped US.
Custom steel bamboo tsuba. Bamboo theme hand carved (unknown artist but done on a steel blank mokko tsuba). I added the aging and blackening myself. Asking $110 shipped US.
Silver vajra menuki. Made from solid silver, by myself out of Silver Art clay, which is a clay that is 98% silver mixed with flammable clay. It can be kiln fired to pure silver. Asking $35 shipped.
Copper stamped Oni menuki. Smaller, wakizashi or tanto sized. Has some minor greening from age and gold detailing. Asking $30 shipped.
Real silk katana bag. Not synthetic, I burned a loose thread and it smells like burning hair, which means silk. Synthetic smells like plastic, cotton like paper. Asking $120 shipped.
Another one, Steel Ranger sword hilt set. Taken off a wall hanger.
Played roulette and it paid off, crossguard and pommel are both steel, not zinc alloy. Crossguard is solid, pommel has a hollow section I was going to fill with a steel resin epoxy. Threaded pommel that would look great on a tinker bare blade, or possible with the threaded part drilled through and peened.
Brother Nathaniel: Ah, Ms. Cerulean, such a beautiful hue to her scales. The fiery amber of her eyes... I promised her I would return to her one day. I still have the coordinates to the island.

RufusScorpius: And no doubt you left them something to remember you by as well... even the blue lizard girl...

Brother Nathaniel: Admittedly, this is true, Brother Rufus, But I would like to state that I still remember all of them and keep mementos. It always meant somthing to me.

treeslicer: Ya might even get Shatner back..........to play a 24th. Century version of Denny Crane.

treeslicer: Just imagine Starfleet trying to sort out the survivor's benefits claims after Kirk finally croaked. Make one whale of a military legal procedural movie, maybe even a series.

RufusScorpius: Rumor has it the Brother Nathaniel is the James T. Kirk of the fantasy realm. Black, white, red, alien, he doesn't care. At least that's what I've heard.

treeslicer: Nah, DNA will tell, even on the amphibious green ones with tails.
Jun 21, 2021 7:20:29 GMT
Brother Nathaniel: That is correct, but if we are counting that, then we might have some that we have trouble identifying.
Jun 21, 2021 1:13:25 GMT
RufusScorpius: ? You mean no heir that you know of, right?
Jun 21, 2021 1:10:19 GMT
Brother Nathaniel: I hope you understand, Sir, that I shall not exactly reveal my cards to the public. Security measures and all sir, but my absence for a prolonged period of time... you can take your guess but I can assure you it isn't mundane.
Jun 21, 2021 1:07:43 GMT
Brother Nathaniel: Perhaps you are right , ol' brother. I shall defer to your many more years and look forward to the horizon with a renewed vigorousness. After all, I still do not have an Heir, none to carry on the name, I shall not let it end here.

RufusScorpius: I have no time for the dead, nor do I have quarrel with them. For I will in due time be with them, and then there will be feasting and libations as we tell the tale of our living times.
Jun 21, 2021 0:53:33 GMT
Brother Nathaniel: 👍👍👍👍👍 Ah and what times those were, unfortunately not everyone made it out of those expeditions, I still pour out the liquor for them sir, I still visit the graves. Sometimes I set upon the warm grass sharing a bottle with our deceased with my bottle

RufusScorpius: Tell me of that which perplexes you and I will put an arrow into it's eye and split it's belly open with my Roman steel
Jun 21, 2021 0:49:36 GMT
RufusScorpius: I stood by your side when we defeated the 2 headed Jakelope of Besleba, and our campaign into Dorrasinia to capture the marauding Skunk-Ape all those years ago is still fresh in my mind. I would adventure again to rid you of a new enemy or threat.
Jun 21, 2021 0:48:32 GMT
Brother Nathaniel: Trust that if it truly was enemy situation, you would merely not see too much of me for a few years at least while I attend "College".
Jun 21, 2021 0:44:25 GMT
Brother Nathaniel: Not Midlife crisis yet my friend, still a bit more youthful lol
Jun 21, 2021 0:39:42 GMT
RufusScorpius: Brother, you are taking too many risks lately. Is there a midlife crisis? Illness? Or a secret enemy that you are ashamed to make public? If the later, I only need to know a name, not a reason. Just saying.
