I don't have any experience with the longship armoury knives, but they seem pretty nice. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't make a good EDC.

As a mid tech/custom knife buyer for many years now, I can also reiterate what’s been said: no one can tell you what’s the “best”, but can give suggestions for you.
Already mentioned is Chris Reeve and Shirogorov. I haven’t read all of the thread, so I may be repeating others when I add Hinderer knives (I started my mid-tech “obsession” with his knives many years ago when he was making his XM knives at “the Ranch” before he built a new building and added equipment to make much more knives - “lightly used” XMs used to go for over $600, now can be found for about $250ish), Krein, Luther, Lozada, Famin, Horton, Burch, Begg (customs are sooo much nicer than the mid techs, which btw are pretty nice too), Kohler (his knives are some of the most sought after), Sobral (modern master from Brazil), Peña, Lambert, Tope, Thomas Rice, Gavko, Kiku Matsuda, and many others.
If you’re on FB, I’d recommend you join groups like Killer Kustom & Mid-Tech Maniacs - beautiful knives showcased there every single day.
Hope that helped and didn’t confuse you more.

The only practical thing I can add at this point is to say that I literally have a bucket of unused knives. Each one i bought because I thought it would fit my needs. For whatever reasons, they didn't. Every one is a good knife from a reputable company, I just didn't want to carry them.
Ultimately I settled on the K55K and Mora. Not because I made a rational decision to do so, rather I found myself carrying those more often until one day I realized I wasn't carrying anything else, nor did I want to.
Sometimes you have to buy the knife to see for yourself if its right. Don't be ashamed if it doesn't work out for you, its how it goes sometimes

Also, most folks who are into folding knives have somewhat of a collection (and even rotate EDC time)...and nothing wrong with that, just try to score a good deal if you can.
