Good riddance 2020..
Life never was meant to be easy (whoever came up with that idea was an idiot) - but even in war, and make no mistake, we are at war with this virus, it's pays to take time to smell the roses.
It won't start off I don't think, but it will end a lot better.. Either that or.. Well, let's be optimistic.. ;-)

Setting here trying to appraise my situation and two things come to mind. It’s 2021 and I’m still here It’s 07:03 and in spite of the rompope and grogs yesterday, no hang over.
HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL
PS 2 hours later and next to no activity on the forum. Too much partying last night? 😊

I've been up since 6am doing various projects around the house. Nice that it's peaceful and quiet everywhere.

Happy New Year--2021 has to be better than 2020.
Im here too. .3.5 hours late but cmon: i smoked a Jamaican root cellar worth of greens last night, partook of dry ice kief hash by the bucketload, made edible gummies (medicated and nonmedicated), stuffed so much chinese takeout down my face that this morning 5 hours after getting up the bathroom still has a flavour , titrated some nice diplimatico rum, had a few brews and hard root beers....sang karaoke w the kiddies AND with all that (with all THAT) i still picked my Japanese type 32 and beheaded 6 waterbottles before realizing it was a baaaad idea to swing anything once let alone six times
Sat on the deck w a coffee after that and watched my neighbors head down to the shore to see if the ice jam had cut loose.
Good freaking riddance 2020, i needed you in my life like a pack of ice sharks, ice spiders or an iced, barbed wire wedgie.

But what if..... 2021 says "hold my beer"?
In 2020 we didn't have a zombie apocalypse or, worse, a New Kids On The Block reunion.
I think 2021 has plenty of potential to suck. For me at least I will be spending half the year with being able to use my dominant arm because of shoulder surgery. That's in addition to whatever unknowns are coming.
But today, it's fun project day. I'm working on converting a broken 1973 Epiphone combo amp into a 15" 300 watt bass cab. I can't decide if I want it covered in lime green, bright orange, or purple snakeskin. Leaning towards the snakeskin.

My friend, you have my sympathetic support if nothing else. Surgery sucks (i erased the "but...blah blah blah"). After having my bypass, learning how to use a sword again without pain was...rewarding.
Indeed, 2021 has the potential to suck (no zombies, you say?...YET) you can see it like you hear pre-echo from a fancy effects rack. (Nice project, go with the snakeskin)
I expect each of us to do our jobs, stay vigilant and put down any walking dead whenever we find them.

Happy New Year! We didn't do much New Year's Eve other than a turkey dinner. Yesterday we got up early and went to Yellowstone for some hiking. It was a beautiful day. We hiked the Hellroaring Creek trail. Turned around at the bridge and back up. Saw elk, bison and antelope and some extra large wolf tracks Then a visit to the terraces. Hopefully this will set the tone for the year.

Thanks for the photos. It's been over 50 years since I was there.

Got me beat by a few years pgandy. It’s been 47 for me. And yes, beautiful pictures. Lake Yellowstone is quite possibly the most beautiful lake I’ve ever seen.
