Just accidentally noticed today that Regenyei has totally redesigned their website and now they have pretty sweet option to easily building a custom sword from combining their "stock" options together (note that there will be restrictions as they have for example certain grip lengths to certain blade lengths etc. so the sword stays in balance).
I do not have any business relation to Regenyei other that being a satisfied customer after ordering a custom two handed sword from them. Now they have these custom sword builders for arming swords, longswords and two handed.

Oh wow...nice sword Dandelion! Thank you... but its Holgers! Big one, 93 cm blade, 0,53 cm wide, 30 cm grip including pommel. Fittings blackened, green leather/wirewrap grip. I will be ordering one myself, maybe in december, maybe in january. A smaller one in claymore style; i will ask regenyei to saw/file of the flower things on the crossguard - to get another "wicher style" sword!

I have a custom Regenyei longsword sharp being made now as well. I have these specs on mine: Blade: Munich – |93 Cm| Edge & Tip: Sharp Edge & Pointy Tip Crossguard: Munich II. – |24 Cm| – Blackened – € 45 Grip Length: 32 Cm Grip Shape: Rectangular – Divided Grip Cover: Plain Leather Color:: Black Pommel: Disc – Type II. – Blackened – € 50 When did you order? And what time frame did they give you? Is the price still cool with shipping to USA, or where do you live?

I beg your pardon to have asked, so sorry... was just interested. Will not happen again. I'm joking lol I ordered it through hemasupplies.com/ because he is the Regenyei USA reseller. I think the price was around $600. Ordered it about a month ago. Was given a quote of approximately 6 months. Six month? Hmm... always was 1 to two month so far. Holiday, corona and on and on, i guess...

Looks quite nice, although the grip appears to be a bit too rectangular for my taste. A very handsome sword though.

How come no one recommended me this company on my other thread (Great Sword and Bastard Sword Recommendation)?! This company looks awesome! Are his swords nice or are they alright? I'm a little nervous now seeing the "build your own sword" template because I instantly think of all the Chinese katana makers...

Looks quite nice, although the grip appears to be a bit too rectangular for my taste. A very handsome sword though. Grip is the weakest part of it, not so much because the rectangular shape(which I selected) but the leather is just roughly done and has several blemishes. I was about to get a custom sword with that same grip. Would you recommend to change the shape or only the leather? (maybe cord or spiral leather would work better?) Also, how does it perform?

Thanks. My alignment is ok but my concern was about how comfortable is the rectangular shape for the hands, when the edges are too rough it feels wrong, especially since I move both hands a lot while using a sword. The price is very friendly so I wouldn't consider fair the comparison with albion and other forges, we're talking about over 50% less here. If it cuts well, I'd definitely get a custom regenyei, although the scabbard is very pricy for the range.

i now have two regenyei blunt longswords, a sharp longsword, a sharp two hander and a blunt flamberge two hander. their updated interactive website works very well and am currently awaiting a flexi dagger for use in sca rapier. whilst the shipping to australia is unpleasant the swords are still excelent value. i cannot yet afford custom work in oz or an albion. for use(practice, sparring and cutting) i find these tools of great utillity🙂

I wonder how well a "Super Roven" built using this system would compare to genuine windlass article. I would think pretty favorably, as you'd get longer fullers, and a grip length that humans could use. It's a tempting prospect.
For as cool as these are, 49-51HRC seems low, though.
