Awesome news Scorp! Happy for you! Well yesterday morning I had my first laboratory test for this bio class. Took me 12 minutes to do 50 questions and got 46 correct. Proud of myself! You get no points, brownie or otherwise, for finishing early. I always worked through the test, then spent the remainder of my time reviewing. Be careful not to second guess yourself, however! I found wrong answers more than once by doing this. When it comes to your college grading, every little point helps by the end of the session, so don't throw away the easy ones. Got my student ID number today. Whoohoo! I'm official, I just don't know how to pay for it yet :/ Agreed on the second guessing part. It typically hurts you.

Very proud to have banned from this site for posting Trump's actual Covid 19 comments. After two decades of being active in gun, car, truck, motorcycle and tractor online forums, this was the first time being banned. It is a badge of honor for me. The main reason I stopped posting on this site about a year ago is the infiltration of Trump's evil political rhetoric throughout this site. I thought the site would correct the problem expeditiously. Unfortunately, the Trump virus continues to plague this site. I care about this site. It use to be a place of sword fun and it can again.....after this Trump virus is destroyed. To the freedom fighters on this site, in America and around the world...... may we continue to fight the good fight!

This is political shark jumping, though I assume the other half of the country you're dissing will probably heed your words about continuing to "fight the good fight".

You were obviously not banned since you're still posting, and breaking the rules of a niche hobby internet forum about not discussing politics here doesn't make you a "freedom fighter" in any non-satirical sense of the phrase. Go troll Stormfront or something and we can talk - somewhere else.
This is an official warning to take the politics elsewhere; another warning within 30 days earns you a temporary suspension (as before).

I already answered this but I got a new one. I finally started being ashamed of my alcoholism. I realized it's ruining too many aspects of my life. I haven't stopped it. Lately tho, I been trying to. I try fight against it, knowing I never feel more sad then when wasted. It used to give me energy to be social and make effort, but lately it hasn't.
I stafted taking my meds. It's a bit wacky right now as I'm starting again. But man it feels decent

I'm proud of you, for finally taking steps to break the old chains and be the real you. You've got this, but if you need anything, you know where to find me.

I actually take three different meds for psychological issues and they work wonderfully for me (when I don’t stop taking them).

I stopped smoking a month ago. It was a rough few days at the start but I'm feeling a lot better on the whole. Resting better, lower anxiety. You name it. I'm hopeful it sticks.

It’s not easy to break any habit. I am sure that I can speak for the entire forum when I say that we’re behind you on this on. 👍

I'm glad I never picked up smoking. My first experience with tobacco, I must have been five or six years old. My father was smoking a pipe one Christmas, something he very rarely did, and my sister was insisting she wanted to try, too. My father, being the type to let you figure out for yourself that you probably shouldn't be doing something, allowed her "one small puff" which sent her gasping and choking, lesson learned. Having only seen two very different reactions to one thing, the budding academic in me needed a third opinion. Third parties were in short supply, so I volunteered myself. I found it neither pleasant nor unpleasant, thanked my father for allowing me to try it, and returned the pipe to him. I didn't touch tobacco again until my girlfriend wanted to go for hookah just a few years ago, and my experience was similar. My sister, however, got hooked on cigarettes in her mid-teens and smokes to this day. She's probably "quit" ten times or more. Same with alcohol. Saw my father have a few too many, a few too many times, and resolved to never let myself go too far. I did, however, ask for samples of his beers at various stages of my childhood, again, just to see if it was something I would enjoy or not. I lost my father two and a half decades ago, more than ten years before coming of age to purchase my own alcohol, and I have since sampled probably some 400+ different beers, with a handful of wines, liquors, liqueurs, etc. Always made the rule of "Only one drink" and only broke that a handful of times, but still retained control of myself. My addiction comes in other forms; mostly PVC...
Anybody out there: You can escape. It'll be tough, but you can be tougher. Hold on and don't give in to the urge. It'll pass soon.
