Just watched Dark Phoenix and thought it better than critics reviews. Also Brightburn. Also last seasons of Homeland and Westworld series. I saw Brightburn as well.. I found it a little disturbing. Cant wait for a sequel... I'm a sucker for comic flicks so I liked it but kind of agree with many who say they could have done more with it. Would still have liked to see more of an inner struggle before main character gives in to his darker nature. Future Bizarro villian?

Peaky Blinders, Ash VS Evil Dead, Mr. Robot.
Dan Simmons SF books and P. F. Hamilton are amongst my top of the shelves authors. Read the Night's Dawn trilogy and Fallen Dragon?
I would also recommend Walter Jon Williams' Praxis books, excellent stuff, and the Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson. Also Charles Stross' Laundry Files.

I’ve only read all four books in the Hyperion Cantos by Simmons, along with Pandora’s Star and Judas Unchained by Hamilton before my current binge. Finished Misspent Youth and am back on Pandora’s Star for my completionist run, but I’ll definitely have to check those others out when I’m done. Hyperion is great for that almost “Modernized Pulp” feel, as in the science elements are super out there but the story is pretty serious, while I absolutely love how Hamilton’s works feel like they could actually happen in the next few hundred years.

The Raj Whitehall series was a pretty good read too.

While I haven't had any time off, I highly recommend the malazan book of the fallen, as well as Esselmonts books set in the same world.

I didn't do much fun stuff before the 6th of May because of classes, but now I'm free until July 7th. I am actually binging books now instead of videos. I am challenging myself to read the ENTIRE Commonwealth universe by Peter F. Hamilton in chronological order before the 7th of July. Misspent Youth, Pandora's Star, Judas Unchained, The Dreaming Void, The Temporal Void, The Evolutionary Void, The Abyss Beyond Dreams, and A Night Without Stars. That's 8 books and roughly 8011 pages. I am just about done with Misspent Youth and have actually enjoyed it despite it being widely regarded as the worst novel Hamilton has written. Pandora's Star and Judas Unchained are two of my favorite scifi novels, though to be honest, they really are essentially one really long book. They have perhaps my favorite portrayal of an alien species which actually feels alien, but not so much so that it's motivations are incomprehensible. This weekend I watched all of Into The Night on Netflix. I found it an enjoyable enough diversion to recommend giving it a watch. It's essentially an apocalyptic "Lifeboat" drama, and it's competently executed.

Yeah, completely agreed that they are one large book, and the Primes have to be some of the best written “evil” aliens I’ve encountered. MorningLightMountain’s first big point of view chapter is terrifying for sure.

My beautiful bride got me to watch Outlander. We are caught up.
I am trying very hard to not binge watch all Season 4 of Last Kingdom! Oh, it is hard.

Knightfall The Man in the High Castle (recommend) Knightfall is super cool. Especially since the old Talus (Mark Hamil) shows the young novices how a real knight fights. The Man in the High Castle is really highly recommended. And very scary from the perspective of a German viewer. greetings Thomas
