Well, I received a seax several months ago and it has been very practical so far. I love it and after a time I was gone and came back home, I appreciated it more. It is a knife that is sturdy and usable. It doesn't require as much maintenance as you think (oiling and wiping of the blade is always required for any blade).
I am a historian of sorts and admired the seax as some of the most practical blades in history. The lovely part is that the seax is associated with the Anglo Saxons of the 5th to 11th centuries as well as the vikings at the same period of time with various other Northern European people.
The seax from New Madni Traders portrays what I seen the wider variant of the blades that is similar to a butcher knife with a broken back half well and I loves its visuals.
Its a very good blade and a definite recommend. Mostly since this seax though weird looking with a tiny hole ( a modern addition) allows for a lot of leverage. it is lighter than most khukuri that I have but...it has the weight with a full tang. It is a plus for me as it allows for a strong cut. Besides, it is a sharp blade and its sharper than it looks.
What use did I use from this one? Mostly from hiking, gardening work and retrieving arrows from target with its tip. It is a remarkably useful blade with his sturdy make and the edge is pretty hard to dent, it hasn't dent for me.
When I got it a few months ago it came with a sturdy leather sheath though it claimed no retention with the blade. The main issue could be its main strength. The belt loop feels apart of your belt and I almost forgot I was walking around with it! I love it though I must mind it whenever its on me.
But then the store service was top notch. The company is known as New Madni's trader and their customer service is insane. They will literally listen to every question you ask from the price, the type of blade and even what metal is made of, if they even were asked the question of what made life itself they might even have an answer. I am not meaning to say they are any sort of deity but they are willing to answer all the questions they can and make a good product.
So what do I give this product? What rank do I know it in my area of time.
For the price I got it, it is fantastic! It is usable and rough and fits my style. My knickpicks though are the hole as it makes it sorta inaccurate and finishing on the top of it being less than many khukuri I have but that is knickpicks.
I give it a solid 4.8/5. It is a fantastic blade and I carry it around my waist when I can and it sleeps with me at home at all times and I mean it.
If you need the blade and want to check it out here is the ebay link to it: www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-17-AMAZING-80CRV2-STEEL-ROSE-WOOD-HANDLE-HANDMADE-VIKING-SEAX/153470475033?hash=item23bb8d9b19:g:qm0AAOSwmuNcyJfe
Just because its a Pakistani blade don't be afraid of it. Pick it up and give the buyers a go. I don't think you would be disappointed. I wasn't.

Sebastian.
(I made an edit that said it was a viking seax, when it was just a seax. Thanks for someone helping me point that out.
