WTF is wrong with Adrian? Is he ill? No accident or such misery, we hope? We are concerned, and we know SH*T!

He was admitted to the hospital for treatment for something they found during some medical testing. I will leave it up to Adrian if he wants to post about the condition. No accident or anything like that.

OMG... 2020 seems to suck even more! Holger has a quite annoying ear inflammation for 5 days now... So again, all our best wishes to Adrian and Lyndles wife as well!

Hey guys. I'm sorry I've been so out of touch. I can't say it'll get better any time soon, but I'll try.
I have what is called a metastatic Insulinoma. It's an extremely rare type of tumor that is usually about 2cm and found in the pancreas, and can be relatively easily treated. It was causing my blood sugar to drop into the 20's several times a day and I was hospitalized a few times. Mine metastasized massively to my pancreas, liver, spleen and peritoneum while no one was looking(they are extremely hard to spot early because you often don't show any type of obvious symptom for huge stretches of time). As a result, I have a very rare version of a very rare disorder. Real collector level stuff, hahaha.
I was hospitalized far from home as I live in a very poorly supported rural area, so no one knew anything about this, and on top of that it was on DEC. 16th, so all the experts that could help me even in the top of the line places I went to were on vacation, so I was in for about 3 weeks before anything ever even started to happen. In the end I was given a quick chemo run after a little over a month long wait and released home, where I will continue chemo for the foreseeable future. I'm usually to tore up to use my computer, so I thought I would strike now while the iron is hot and I can move a little to give this update.
I cannot tell you how much the love and support I've received from our community has helped me, and the appreciation for my work as a moderator here legitimately moved me to cry. I love you guys. I can no longer discharge my duties, and likely won't for a very long time. MOK is King Bee now. The king is dead(metaphorically), long live the king!

I have nothing but well wishes for you brother. You made lemonade of us lemons here, at the forum of grumps. I will pray for you Let's just say that, you NOT becoming better is unacceptable 😎

Bonne Chance, Adrian. Considering the details you just shared with us, it sounds like you'll need all of the luck you can muster. If the chemo ends up being effective, my advice is to push your oncologist to keep it going for as long as your body can hold out. Don't give the cancer any opportunity to regroup, if it can at all be helped. Phuck cancer.

Newer, more effective drugs and treatments are coming out all the time in the war against the Big C. I'll pray for you and that the type you have is responsive to these treatments. Fight hard (I know you will) and have faith. Edit, just noticed you are still a young dude in his mid 30s, so that's another big plus.
