First up is a project blade. it is a folded steel Naginata, exceptional quality, large with bo hi. Has an ayasugi hada pattern, suguha hamon. Don't be fooled by the altered nakago, it is not an antique. It looks closer to a Komonjo Shinsakuto, which means very high quality, possibly tamahagane, and questionable origin status (Nihonto Message board accused them of being lower grade Shinsakuto smuggled out of Japan rather than scrapping them).
Regardless, it is a beautiful blade I was mounting as a whaling knife, but couldn't finish. Saya fits perfect... only if you sheathe it right. Otherwise it gets stuck. Hybrid tsuba / handguard in copper. Hadn't started the handle yet. I got other things and bills to concentrate on, so I'm disregarding all the parts and selling it as a project piece. $350 shipped US.
Also on the chopping block, dropping the Hanwei Anglo Saxon sword to $750 shipped US. Any lower and I'll just keep it hidden in my closet.
Also a customized Godfred Viking sword. @250 shipped.
Late to this thread, but I'm intrigued by the naginata. Any more info on that?
Not much other than it is a very nice, folded piece with a clear hamon. The nakago looks aged artificially, hence the price.
Bit of a hiccup, I can't find the scabbard. Didn't fit great to begin with, but I left it in my garage workshop and now it's missing. Wife may have thrown it out with some trash while doing some spring cleaning.
I'll drop the Naginata to $200 shipped. The copper guard thingy still included
christain: Nothing new coming for me either. But...spring is just around the corner, and that means 5 and 6 day work-weeks. Already have a few things on my list.

RufusScorpius: Satellite GPS plot of Christain's property, enter into the Automatic Geometry Guidance and resurface and re-slope his entire property. Then spray it with that green seed mix from a high pressure hose. Should take 20 minutes for the whole job.

RufusScorpius: Oh man, you let slip my gimmick. And I was going to do it by remote piloting using GPS data mapping
Feb 20, 2020 23:15:36 GMT
treeslicer: Rufus, why do I get this picture of you, in armor, driving some piece of air-conditioned heavy equipment you borrowed from the local railroad, scraping Christain's lawn down to bare dirt, then scattering gravel ballast all over it?
Feb 20, 2020 23:11:27 GMT
RufusScorpius: I made you a promise I would cut your grass in armor and I fully intend to keep it. I just can't promise a time. But it's gonna happen.
Feb 20, 2020 11:28:49 GMT
christain: I think Spring is gonna come early this year, so there'll be plenty of time for mower-jousting.
