I am looking for referrals to scabbard makers. I need to commission two medieval scabbards...circa mid 13th c. The only two I know are Eric McHugh and Christian Fletcher. I am open to other makers that may be recommended here in the forum...
Thanks

Thanks for the references...I am looking for pretty simple , historically accurate scabbards and I think I will split the order between Christian Fletcher and DBK.
I hate owning a sword without a scabbard...

Tod would probably be at the top of the heap for historical scabbards, but not cheap. DBK makes great scabbards too and can do more strictly historical designs, or very fancy modern “medievalish” designs. I own one and it is stunning.
Another alternative is to make one yourself. It’s not as hard as you think to make a decent basic scabbard.

Consider our Brian Heff.... His scabbards are sweet. Link to website? Thank you.... He's a Mod here...no website, but he's made a number of scabbards and posted pics. His scabbard he made for my Albion Reeve is ... well...amazing. Simple, elegant, and could easily be from the 11th century. Though it might be made *too* well.

I am new here... a search of his name just pulled up the posts in this thread that mention his name. Nothing more. What is his "screen name" here?
