Since we've seen some sales posts with non-blade related items pop up recently, I thought I'd reiterate the general guidelines we use for this kind of thing.
If it's not too often we will allow it. We always have. If it gets out of hand then we'll have to suspend it.
If it's a trade oriented post, "I have this non-blade object and would like to trade for one of these bladed objects", then we look a little more kindly. A lot of folks are broke these days and there's nothing wrong with trying to rustle up some business that could not otherwise be afforded. Just make sure said object is forum friendly. No vintage porn collections or rocket launchers.
Any trades requested for a non-bladed item need to be for a bladed item. We aren't going to go full swap meet here.

Would it be totally out of question to have another forum section created for misc items that aren't blades BUT might still be relevant interest to at least a decent portion of the forum? Perhaps the misc section can be for: martial arts gear, tactical/gun gear, archery gear, flash lights,etc. These items are at least of some interest here I am sure. Great idea! |

Indeed - and also maces, hammers and other blunt weapons, historical armour, practice weapons and armor etc. As long as it's something you could expect to discuss on these forums it's fine, basically (except for firearms). Good on you for asking, though!

Would a Nanuk/Pelican case be allowed as a "blade related item"? I am about to post some of my blades for sale, and I had used that case for storing them. I am asking because the primary use and the main advertisement given for those Nanuk or Pelican cases is firearm storage, and I want to stay clear of anything "firearm related". For specific items, the preferred method of asking is via PM to the mod of your choice prior to making a public post. |

What about re-enactment items that aren't specifically weapons? Bought the wrong size when purchasing a Grimfrost wool Viking tunic. Fedex wants more than the item cost to return it, Post Office is a little cheaper, but nearly the item cost as well.

After consulting the Mod team, the feeling is that since this is hobby related it would be fine. Random things like gaming consoles or furniture would likely be out.
Of course, as said above, asking permission is always appreciated so if anyone has something unusual they'd like to list, please PM a Mod of your choice. Never hurts to ask!

Thanks for the reply. I'll probably list it next weekend (need pictures of the tunic, etc). It is really nice wool, so I hope it will find a new (slightly smaller) owner.
Viking Clothing = good "Viking" furniture = not good (so no Ikea stuff)
