I understand completely. Between work, going to the gun range as part of work (and stress relief), and time set aside for my 8yr old daughter & stereotypically “needy” wife, there’s SO little time for things like hobbies and interests! Holy frik, that sounds sh*tty what happened to your hand! Nothing serious you say 😳 Years ago when I was in the Carpenters Union I accidentally shoved a drill bit through my left thumb nail, causing the whole nail to pop off. Then a few years later I was changing the brake pads on my car, and was using a long handled ratchet to loosen the bolts on the back of the caliper. The ratchet, which I had all my weight on, slipped off the bolt and and I basically punched the inside of the wheel well with all 210 pounds behind it. Off came the right thumb nail, blood pouring down my wrist, and my hand & forearm were throbbing like a mother! This two injuries sound like nothing compared to what you’re describing, so I truly hope it’s healing well!!! Yeah I couldn’t think of anything else the Drow would deem worthy of putting on a sword besides spiders. The Priestesses have those snake headed whips, sooooo maybe a serpent motif, or a scene depicting violent torture?? Okay I’m just spitballing with that last one, but maybe a scorpion (hinting at a poisoned blade) or an insignia for the House Do’urden.....but that you’d probably have to design on your own, unless you can Google Drizzt’s house insignia that someone living in their mom’s basement had all the time in the world to come up with!

freq- semprini that looks rough! At least it’s not as black & blue as it was right after. Ha, I would have said the insignia looked like a poor attempt at making an octopus assassin, but MOK suggesting an S&M octopus is even funnier! 🤣

Ball-gagged octopus? Whatever floats your boat... These look great freq. I'd say go with the orange grips.

Actually, I think it's supposed to be a spider. Because Drow, y'know. Wouldn't be hard to do a better, less cartoony design based on that.

Are you sure this is your first build? Those look really good!! Were you able to heat treat them at all, or was this just a “to see if you could do it” project?

I understand your purpose in this build, and why them being heat treated isn’t a big deal, but I still think they’re pretty awesome 😁
