Seems to be non-exclusive after all... but SBG store is a lot cheaper at the moment!

Very possible. I don't think that SBG has an exclusive forge or supplier, so it's not outside of the realm of possibility that the forge is selling outside of the SBG Store.

Or, about as likely, an eBay seller grabbed some "close enough" photos off another site because the product they're actually selling doesn't look that good in reality. Note how the eBay listing reuses two photos five times each, just photoshopped slightly differently. You see that sort of thing a whole lot.

I would by from SBG for two reasons: 1) they are cheaper, and 2) they give lifetime waranty. Also something to consider is "post purchase service support". Meaning, how good is the company's customer service after the sale is made? Again, smart money in on SBG to better answer questions and take care of any issues that may arise after you bring the sword home.
*disclaimer* I do not work for, nor am I affiliated in any way whatsoever with SBG, any employees of the company, nor any supplier or distributor of any said entity.

Ebay and Amazon sellers quite often 'borrow' photos from other makers.(i.e.--STEAL) Example--- Look at a popular Ebay India-based company with the initials 'N.M.'...CONSTANTLY using pictures of Armstreet armor and helms. Pisses me off to no end. I actually emailed Armstreet and informed them of the shenanigans. Have yet to hear from Armstreet, and 'N.M.' is still doing it.

Huh, is pretty similar.
Some of the SBG store exclusives seem to not be exclusives. The Yong Lo sword on the SBG store that's been recently talked about has been floating around over at Sword n Armoury for years. Took me awhile to realize I had seen it before since it was awhile ago that I had seen it. May not be exactly the same sword, but it looks just about identical to me.
