Hello Josh, I found that one in France, no idea from where the seller got it but probably went from collection to collection. Another possible way it got out of Germany was as captured loot from the War. Do you have a picture? It's pretty awesome you have a sword so close to mine!

Have a Blucher - all I can see as markings is a 10 on the handle and a 100 on the sword. NOTHING else. Would this be an early specimen? Not sure how to post pictures.

I Have a Blucher It is a M1811, I found it in Spain, I think it was made in 1897 I would like to know which reg it comes from. Te legend said 8.A.5.79 Where can i find this info?

I have this same sabre, mine is marked 1831 on the back of the blade, and has 5 unit markings on the scabbard. It has black streaks that run from the tip to about 1/3 the length. Some nicks in the blade but otherwise great condition.
