Is anyone else as disappointed in the new show "Knightfall" as I am? I expected some great Knights Templar sword action, and instead got a second-rate medieval soap opera. Is this the sort of crap the Kardashian generation simply must have?

I made it through two and that was it for me. The special effects look like old video game special effects and I hate when they put you in the helmet with the guy. If they did it as if you was in the helmet alone looking out that would be okay but not with the actors face right next to you. And Bryan you're right, it's like Days Of Our Lives gone Knights Templar. It's to bad, it could have been a good series.

It's better than the current 'X-Files'. I waited all that time for THIS?

I guess they wanted to get some of the same audience as "Vikings" but without the budget. Epic Fail.

It is alright for what it is. Not much medieval type shows on TV. Not really invested in it as much as Vikings. After the Ragnar and Rollo characters left the show, just watch out of habit. Still not bad.

I'm starting to get into it once they introduced the Cathar plot. I'm an episode behind.

Episode 4
When a Saracen prisoner is killed in cold blood inside the temple, Gwaine conducts an inquiry into the man's murder. In order to learn about the victim's symbol, Landry seeks out Jonas of the Ardennes, a pagan who helps him remember his childhood meeting with Malraux, a Cathar from the Brotherhood of Light. Isabella is betrayed by de Nogaret and her purity is tested days before her wedding to Lluís. Joan is with Landry's child and has to cover it up with Philip.
There is a major "reveal" in episode 6 about the relationship between Malraux and de Nogaret (as well as de Nogaret's parent's executions for heresy).

I'm rather liking this as well, considering a renewed interest in the Templars. some of it does seem inaccurate, but that to be expected as tv NEVer gets anything right. I'm wondering if it'll be historically accurate when it comes time for the order to fall, courtesy on the king. unfortunately nothing has been mentioned, yet, of the orders origins, that stemming from finding certain artifacts and documents beneath the Temple Mount.
Landri's sword looks VERY familiar

I enjoyed the fight scene with the Templars plowing through the brigands in the forest, I imagine that's how armored knights would have done so against lightly armored opponents, I hope to god they don't do that your in the helmet stuff again

The fights seem pretty typical from the clips I've watched. And the armor is something closer to 12th century from what I can see, with added bits of plate. I would be OK with that if the local knights had more advanced early transitional harness to highlight that the Termplars are men out of touch with modern times. Also I see NO BUCKLERS, which for the early 14th is a massive historical sin worth multiple paddlings. They are ubiquitous in the period art--even more than heaters. And of course we all know that Ms. I.33 is the REAL secret of the Templars. That anonymous priest hiding in southern Germany, putting Templar crosses all over his fight book. Dude isn't fooling anyone LOL

Like Bill said, it's ok for what it is. It beats some of the other crap shows on TV, and has had some decent twists so far. de Nogaret is to this show as Ashur was to Spartacus...

Watched a random episode of this last night, I think it's the most current episode, and I liked it. Had no idea who was really doing what but quickly found my bearings, and enjoyed the big battle. I'll try to catch up by watching the other episodes since I enjoyed 11.

I watched the season's final episode...wearing one of my Great Helm's....much to my wife's amusement. I'm thinking of making a second topic on such things as we speak. Just showing my geekiness.
