Hah funny, I just ordered the xl in black! Whoa, you talkin' da BIG arse one with the 7 1/2" blade? How much? I did see Knife Center offering a Recon clip point with 5 1/2" blade for $80. All these blades I'm referring to are the new carpenter steel, btw.

Museum Replicas sale is live! Sale also extends to Atlanta Cutlery. DoW there appears to be included with the Dragoon Saber at just 75$. Some of the Cold Steel products like the 1796 have a slash through the original price but the new price shown is the same. Might be a bug, might not be part of sale, not sure. Looking at a Windlass Qama short sword on KoA that is about the same discounted price on Atlanta, though Atlanta has lower shipping prices.

We have a Black Friday here in Bavaria now too, but without the matching Thanksgiving. And yup, the biiiiig one with the new steel (steal?). I'm not a knife nut, but this folding sword didn't get out of my mind!

The MRL sale sucked me in. Looking forward to seeing how Windlass' Musketeer rapier is, of all the rapiers offered I really liked the looks of it the best (and it reportedly has a good weight to it, so good for exercise).

I went crazy with the MRL sale. I'm embarrassed to even say how much stuff I got. I also bought some stuff from KoA. I'll have to make a introduction thread about myself, I'm new here and to sword collecting. Done some research, but wanted to start at the cheaper end with display and "show & tell" stuff.

Anyone else getting this error on the Cold Steel Special Projects page?

As an update, it appears as though any special projects page now redirects to a corresponding main site page, e.g.; the new products page is a parrying dagger.

Does KOA do anything for black friday or cyber monday? Yes, the sale is good through the 27th.

Judging by the frequent sales from online vendors the Indian stuff must come with very high trade discounts. The non-Indian brands must have low margins.not to mention lower volume.
Lotta good stuff online this week, and koa and others have made it easy be putting the sales price on each item.

Looking forward to seeing how Windlass' Musketeer rapier is, of all the rapiers offered I really liked the looks of it the best (and it reportedly has a good weight to it, so good for exercise). You're right, there are many good deals there. Unfortunately for me (sort of), I got a few of their swords I'd been wanting a couple of months ago already. I've still got my eye on a few more, but they're either out of stock, or the discount isn't quite enough for me to pull the trigger. One of the biggest discounts I saw at MRL is the Sword of San Casilda for only $176. That's a huge discount! Its one of the swords I got a couple months ago, and I really like it! I've read a few people here on the boards say its not their cup of tea, or that it looks a little too pretty with all its inscriptions. That doesn't bother me, because it is based on a historical original. Its light and fast, and the cross/X wrapped hilt is something you don't normally see in this price range or below. I recommend this sword a lot. Need to head over to KOA, and check out more of their sale items. I already looked at some of the main swords and makers I was interested in, but need to go look at some of their other makers to see if there's something tempting I might have missed.

Did they? Ah, I only saw that it was discounted, and didn't click on the thumbnail for more details to see if it was actually in stock or not. That's a bummer. That sword had actually been out of stock for a while before I was finally able to order it. It was worth the wait, though. Glad I got mine when I did!

Looks like some of a few different brands, but not everything. So where is their " MASSIVE SALE " ? They have no way of clicking on it to take you to it. As far as them having the lowest prices on the internet not always so. I just ordered a leather tunic from Dark Knight which was normal price $110, with 20% off it was $88. KOA price is $119.90 and they're backordered. I have also found things on Amazon for less than KOA plus free shipping. I have bought several things from KOA and yes they have good prices but not always the best. Wow, placed this order with Dark Knight Armoury this morning and a few hours later got a e-mail saying it has shipped. Now that's the way to do business.

Holy Smokes how about this for a sale ? 60% off, a viking HEMA sword for $150. Looks like today is the last day. Well I just placed my order, didn't have this style of Viking sword, now I do. www.darksword-armory.com/medieval-weapon/swords/hema-viking-sword-1700/Guess I was wrong about it being the last day because it's still listed as on SALE. Was $375 now $150. Just got an e-mail mine has shipped. Can one really own to many Viking swords, I think not.
