There was a photo I can't find that had a visible ridge on the tip, and that seemed strange to me since the other H/T's are lenticular. Maby I just need to buy a set of glasses and take a closer look lol. It's good if that's not the case though

I saw an H/T Viking for sale that had been modified by having the ridge ground off on the diamond section tip. With that mod, the tip looked like the Norman (except it had been made a bit more rounded).

It's the steel on the inside that counts.

IMHO, the Hanwei Cawood is an absolute winner. I love the way it handles, and it looks fantastic with a dye-job on that gross orange leather. I did mine in a dark, ruddy brown...grip and scabbard, with a matching colored sword belt to go with it. The belt I used is not historically accurate--a belt meant for swords with suspension rings--but, I like the way it makes the sword hang. This is the sword I plan on being BURIED with...no joke. It's that sweet...especially for the price range. The H/T Norman is a close second. Awesome sword. The tips on my Norman and Cawood are 100% lenticular....Chris
