Well a ZT is almost as expensive as an Albion, and Albion blades are among the toughest out there.

No criticism intended at all ( Albion or ZT).

Of course, but if you have an Albion, don't be afraid to use it!

I purchased the sharpened SL Gotland from Viking Shield about 2 weeks ago. And, after about 8.5 months, the Squire Line Viking Sword I'd ordered from Albion arrived a few days later. That completes my mini collection of all 4 Albion SL Viking swords. These are the only Albions i own. Each is unique and I love them all.

I want to get all four also. Just bought the unsharpened version of Vinland Sword and will be in this Thursday. I want to sell my other swords now. The Albion i got is just crazy good and handles like a dream. I think it is just worth saving up and getting Albions...

Like yourself, i've bought a lot of Windlass (and other brands in that price range) - but at this point, there's not that many more i want (or can fit comfortably in the bedroom). I'm going to concentrate more on Albions... Ordering one, paying it off in installments, then ordering another. I have a SL 15th Cent. Bastard on order now. The Vinland handles really nicely - i'm sure you'll be pleased. And the Gotland is just so cool looking. Congrats on your first Albion (first of many)!

The Albion i got is just crazy good and handles like a dream. I think it is just worth saving up and getting Albions... I had the same basic reaction once I got my first Albion...,thought THAT sword would be my first and last, figured it would scratch the itch. Nope. Just made me want more of them. I have lots of makers in my collection and plenty of makers make great less expensive swords and I own or have owned many of them...but while the Albions are quite expensive, they also seem to be the swords that connect with me the most, the ones I handle and enjoy and admire the most.

The handling was just amazing. It sold me big time.

I never buy a sword with the thought of reselling it in mind, haven't sold one yet. As long as I have enough wall space I'll just keep adding to it. Pretty much doing just Viking swords now. Unless someone starts making a good Suontaka the Albion Valkyrja will always hold it's value. Haven't seen a used one yet that was for sale at a bargain price. Still looking for one.
