Hey Peeps!! I've been scrapbooking a stack of knife designs. I wanted to offer a stack of designs which people can order from. There'll be tons more to follow. One can mix and match grips, blades, butts and whatnot. If any one would like a quote to make a knife just PM me and I'll provide a quote. You can specify: *any length blade, even up to 18" or more. *grip width/ length, *blueing, satin finish etc, *Single or double edged. *Sharp edge vs stage edge. *Type of tang : Narrow Tang vs Sandwiched w/Scales. (Exotic scales available on ebay) *Completed Knife vs Steel Only for Customisation / DIY completion (save some $). Whatever you want... I also appreciate casual feedback of which ones your favourite blade / hilt designs are.

Bren: On number twenty five I would make it an ambidextrous multidirectional grip and I would curve the blade backwards to make it as flexible as possible, lovely collection of knives there mate. I will look through them and give you more detailed opinion later.

Ok Bren you asked for it matey; No 1: Beautiful and simple and a fairly standard design, in shorter lengths with an ambidextrous handle it is a very effective combat knife, in even shorter lengths and thinner width it makes a great boot knife and a good EDC. Put a short toothed edge further up the blade for cutting through things like rope and whatnot. No 5: Looks a spear point, if you reinforce the blade by making it a lot thicker at the base it will be a good weapon for punching through things, with sufficient length it would make one hell of a cut and thrust, reinforce the tip and it is a very effective and lethal weapon but better in sword length. No 13: Great overhand underhand striking knife, keep the tip in line with middle of the base and you could stab with it as well. Good slashing knife, reminds me of a raptors claw. No 17: In sword length it would be a very effective slashing weapon, in knife length it is a bit small to be able to do that effectively, will also work effectively at about 18" with a slightly tip heavy balance. No 18: Love this blade but needs an ambidextrous handle and sharpened on both sides for multidirectional redirects in the swing. No 21: Only good in a sword length for any sort of real usage as a target cutter, reinforce the tip. I would love this one in a sword length, love the hilt work on it. No 25: an ambidextrous multidirectional grip and curve the blade backwards to make it as flexible as possible in terms of usage. Overall a fantastic collection if a little bland for my taste, where are the spikes and hooks and interesting squiggly bits that make your enemies innards outards? All joking aside, some of them could use more interesting guards. You also need a knife with a sabre like guard and a curved blade. I really need to get a schiavona design up for you matey. Mine is still the best ;D

BW, thanks for the comments, glad to fire up the imagination. These designs were really just to get the creative juives flowing. They are relatively simple to make them easier/faster to make, and hence more affordable. How is yours? Poo, Of course I can make your designs for you. I'm happy to make just the blade / tang, and you can finish it off. Let me know if you need anything.

Bren: How much cheaper are these blades going to be than what you made for me?
As for how the knife is going, I'm not really sure haven't been in contact with my folks for a while, last I knew it was almost done but then my Dad being a perfectionist decided he had done something wrong lol so he re-did some of it.

1. A nice, simple, leafblade dagger 3. Cool tanto/wak hybrid (looks even better in the flesh) 4. Long wharncliffe type blade (one of my favorites) and very ergo looking handle 11. I like the unusual rounded grind 23. Reminds me of Cold Steel Warhead mated to a Swiss Holbein-esque grip 25. Looks like a great fantasy-based skinning knife Good stuff all around. I noticed in the pics of the actual Fan-Tak-Wak it looks like you're refining your polishing skills. Well done. Oh, I left out 13: Love the high grind hawkbill/korambit-like blade. Should prove a downright vicious cutter.

Glad you like them Kreg. I'm sure I'll get through them bit by bit. As mentioned 12 and 13 are already nearly finished. 13 will be quite a bit more creative than it appears here. It is inspired by the raptor birds. Can't wait to shoot the vid for it.
I think 25 and 9 will be the next cabs off the rank.
Re. the polishing. I hate polishing because it shows off every tiny scratch in the steel. It's my bane. I thing a satin finish might be on the cards - Albionesque.
Here's the vid and pics for #3. Fable Blades Fantasy Tactical Wakizashi (Fan-Tac-Wak) See Classifieds For Sale for all the info.

Bren: Would you make or buy the leather washers for a stacked handle? I know a website that you can get them premade. 8 washers for 6 dollars, 8 washers equals and inch.

Just visited your site and noticed the "Customising" button. I don't mean to be rude or anything like that but I believe it's spelled "customi zing". Maybe in Australia it's spelled with letter "s"? I dunno. ADDED: I also noticed you dropped some of the prices. Nice! Just a few hundreds less and you got a customer from Poland

in Australia we spell things differently, analyse, customise etc we also spell things with a "u" like colour and honour and suchlike.

ADDED: I also noticed you dropped some of the prices. Nice! Just a few hundreds less and you got a customer from Poland I'm happy to just provide a flash blade for about $450, then you can have a ball making the hilt and fitting it up. That should save you some bucks. What sort of sword would you want?

I like the look of "The Blue Knight" but I don't think I can afford one. That's why I said "few hundreds less" ;D Oh, and you sold the Bravehart Sword? I thought you liked it.
