Forgot about this limited edition model, yep seems like the Hanzo Line is now what these swords are sold under. Not a big fan of the leather on even the other two models but aside from the blued blade this line's Bride sword is probably the best functional Kill Bill sword on the market.
Still not sure how these swords are getting past the copyright issues either as they are producing two movie/series swords while calling the line Hanzo and using the Lion insignia from the movie as well.

If you change something to equal a small percentage of change than you are not violating copyright laws I'm not sure what the percentage is but these may be just squeaking by with the titanium coating and not calling it "michonnes sword". That's my best guess

That's my best guess True but what about all the Kill Bill references? They got to be pushing it pretty close with that.

True but what about all the Kill Bill references? They got to be pushing it pretty close with that. do they actually say "hattori hanzo" and "the kill bill brides sword"? Or do they just say hanzo steel and the bride's sword? Cuz if its the latter that may fall under the same circumstances. Interesting subject though, I'm really curious as to what the deal really is on all of that. Cuz you would expect it would be pretty illegal but who knows. I know I've seen these swords made of far less quality of course all over the place as well as others such as the last samurai swords and 47 Ronin swords I have no idea.

Last Samurai and 47 Ronin katana were actually licensed so that explains that. Sure there were other wallhanger types that weren't but most $200+ models are licensed or more vague at least regarding Last Samurai, only saw the official 47 Ronin Katana over at KoA.

If it matters, the version currently for sale isn't totally indentical to the one that I pictured here. This one has the lion on the blade instead of the anniversary kanji, and it appears to have a tsuba that is less detailed. Just thought it was worth mentioning in case it would make a difference to anyone.

Oh so they don't have the cool honeycomb shapes or something? That's too bad and the hattori hanzo lion symbol I could do without for sure. I guess that's what you get for jumping on the limited edition bandwagon. That's good that there not just restarting something they said would be limited edition I would be pissed if I bought a LE and than they made a bunch more. I would prefer to have bought one of the originals for sure
