Simon, that hanwei is awful...grip rings, really obvious ricasso (I believe the original had a slight one, but not more than a fraction of an inch), and it doesn't even follow the actual design.
Go with the gen2, that sword is WITHOUT A DOUBT, the most attractive sub $300 sword I've ever seen. I hope it's handling lives up to it's looks, because if so, gen2 has knocked anything and everything far out of the water.

Well i went agead and placed a "pre order" for the Henry V at AOV . I think i will start work on a small sheild to go with the henry V. i do beleive it would be worthy to start such an undertaking. This should be fun ;D

I've briefly handled the hanwei and it's a nice nimble sword - but I have to concede that the Gen 2 looks very nice (and I imagine, probably handles just as well, perhaps even better)
