My boldhead meassures about 8 mm high. Might be lens distortion. Nice sword. Is it an early basket type? Was on DWA yesterday and their early basket hilts are very nice looking. Have you done a review yet?

Have you done a review yet? Yes It's the early 17th Cen English Baskethilt. No I haven't done a review on it, just posted some pics years ago. I've had it for almost three years now, it's beat up but still going strong.

cool - waiting to see your results. I'm thinking of buying a few H/T bare blades and doing some minor customizing, so this should come in handy once you're done with your tinkering and have general information available to DWA and SBG members.

This is an excellent find. Will be watching for your results Findlithui. As always your work makes me want to build my own sword stuff.

Most excellent work Dean. I hope they see the potential in making these adjustments. I would certainly be able to shorten the bolt, it's just extending the internal threading I would not be able to do without buying more tools I wouldn't need again.

This is really smart. I've always liked the HT besides the nut.
I'm looking at getting one of the HT blade blanks and building hardware.
If so, I definitely use one of these.

Did you get any feed back from Darkwood on making different bots etc? I'm about an email away from ordering a few...just to mess with. At LEAST one to ruin, and one for a finished project...
