I assume you aren't talking about the one on eBay for the "Buy it Now" price of $1,400? That's just ridiculous.
But if it's the other one ending today, yeah. That looks like a pretty good deal.

Nope. It is the used Hanwei Lion Dog with current bid of $305 and the bidding is almost done. Not too late for a SBGer to get a bid in and hopefully get a great sword at a screaming good deal. This: www.ebay.com/itm/Cas-Hanwei-Lion ... NA:US:3160 It breaks my Scottish bargain-hunting heart to pass on this deal, but for me at my age and condition (old dude desk jockey) it is just too heavy for me. Still, would love to see one of us SBGers get it. RinC

If you buy it and send it to me, I'll ship it to you. At you're expense, of course. PM me if you're interested.

Thank you Mikeeman! I really appreciate. I'm currently bidding on this Lion Dog - I pm you... if I win. I don't want to put too much in it, the sword seems to have a lot of scratches. Thanks again!

Any time, man. Shipping from me to you looks to be about $70, according to the USPS website thingy. Still a bargain for a Hanwei Lion Dog, IMO.

Aurelien, I see your bids. You started at 310 and are at 325. Stop playing the bidding game with him. Just watch the minutes remaining right now. Do not bid more even if he does, until there are only a few seconds on the clock. If he raises past your 325usa, wait until the clock is just seconds away and up say $5usa. It is like a game of chicken. He will probably be doing the same. He will likely try to get a very last minute bid to say, 330 in the final 3 to 5 seconds. You will likely have to do your last bid trying to be just after his. Good luck! RinC

And the winner is... Aurélien!!! (Mikeeman : I will pm you tomorrow for the shipping details, cause it's 4 am here in France - time for me to go to bed, I'm exhausted. Thanks again for your help, Mikee, and thank you guys for your support!)

 Thank you guys for all your congratulations!! If that Lion Dog is not a lemon, my purchase is the hold up of the month! And I'd be more than glad to discuss with Atrixnet about our recent investment. It could be interesting, cause we don't have the same vision of that sword : Atrixnet considers his as his main sword. His Lion Dog is some kind of an art/spiritual item. Therefore, he doesn't want to cut with it, in order not to damage it. I fully respect and do understand this way of considering a sword. I have also a "pinnacle" sword in my collection. But I think the beauty of a sword is PARTIALLY in its functionnality. And to know the exact functionnality and limits of a sword, you have to cut with it. A lot. I'm not speaking about any destruction test (I think most of them are useless), I'm speaking about the kind of resistance tests and cutting exercices that guys like John show us in their videos. It's my way of "knowing" my swords since I started my collection 3 or 4 years ago - when I stare at my collection, I can say I KNOW each of my babies. And above all, I know I have blades I can trust in. That's partially why they are beautiful in my eyes Anyway... my new Lion Dog will be another workhorse in my collection. And will be treated as any other workhorse of my armoury. Finally, we will know if the magical hws1 steel has guts!!

Your Lion Dog looks to be in very good condition, barring the light cutting scratches. So it has been a working sword. Be interesting to hear from you re. how it is. I think it is fine. I emailed the seller and he, though not a sword guy, said it was in very good condition, nothing loose that he could tell.

Nice win man! Lion Dogs are a little long and heavy for me but that was a really nice buy at winning it at $330 dollars wow!

Thanks Uchiha! No problem with the 12" long tsuka - it's exactly the size I like for my katana, it allows you to get better precision and stronger power cuts.

That is true it does. Honestly a 12" tsuka I can handle but the 30" blade is a little uncomfortable. Not unmanagible but I have always preferred shorter blades. Therefore I have always liked the Bamboo Mat over the Lion Dog. But, your going to love cutting with that sword I can already tell
