Thanks paul . I got this one thru stromlo. All I did was strip the black paint off with a wire wheel and mount it on a different handle.

Hey Bigpete, looking at your rune etching it all appears to be Elder Futhark except for the first one which appears to be Gothic runes. Bad habit of mine whenever I see runes I always try to translate it. Tell me to bug off if you want. |

According to the runic translater I was using the first rune is elder futhark and is eiwhas the rune for Ullr the Norse god of hunting, the rest is younger long branch futhark and reads longtooth

Nope no fault. I haven't got into translating to old Norse I just do into English. A lot of Elder Futhark and Younger Futhark are the same but the only place I can find the first one is in Gothic but there is one like it in Elder and Anglo-Saxon but it's reversed. Hey, I'm not claiming to be an expert by a long shot. Looks cool either way, some people just put down a bunch of runes without even trying to say something.
