Indeed. Poor Banshee, it's hard being popular.

Try shooting an email to the other fellow, maybe he's still got one. Or maybe to KoA to see if they can get you on a list.

One thing, the grip seems a bit round on this bad mofo, is it easy to maintain edge alignment with its shape? I know shape wise it's just like a dha lwe and those were used for ever so maybe I'm nit picking, just wanna know.

I have not had much issue with edge alignment due to the round handle. Yes it is round, but I have not had much issue with that. Of course other's experiences might vary, I can only speak to my own here. Part of what might make it not such a big deal is the pins, which give enough tactile reference while gripping the banshee to know where your edge alignment is. I never consciously thought about it till now, but you can feel them and so they can give you feed back on how your gripping and thus where your edge is.

From those who had it for a while how does the button lock hold up? And the scabbard in general?

The retention system is one of my favorite things about the Banshee. It holds up really very well. I haven't jumped into a pit of tigers with it (or without it, for that matter), but it's held up very well, so far, and I cannot see it failing under any reasonable circumstance. That being said, anything COULD fail, given a set of extreme enough conditions, but the system for the Banshee seems to be as good or better than anything else that's on the market--to include kydex sheaths, etcetera. The scabbard, too, is actually quite sturdy and I don't foresee a problem with that, either. As for the blade, well, I believe the review on SBG can attest for the durability of the Banshee in that regard www.sword-buyers-guide.com/banshee.htmlThis thing is a beast, plain and simple. Something to keep in mind, if you want to add a little extra to the Banshee to increase durability, you could always go over the scabbard with a flat clear top coat. I went over it with an olive drab coat (I like to personalize, I guess), wrapped the handle and the center of the scabbard with paracord then sprayed everything with a crystal clear flat acrylic top coat. I did, of course, make sure to tape over the retention button and the area where the scabbard mouth/hilt meet. I'd consider this easily the most reliable thing around.

Remarkably well, on both counts! On mine, the scabbard throat came off - no damage, it just wasn't glued properly - but hasn't budged since I epoxied it back on. Other than that, the whole thing is rock solid. The grip actually starts out oval and turns gradually round towards the pommel cap; I'd say the cross-section becomes circular at around the halfway point. I never had any trouble with edge alignment, either. And yeah, olive drab paracord compliments the Banshee very nicely.
