I'm very sorry to hear that, Saito. But i'm glad to know you are working through it. If you ever want to talk about it -- or about anything -- please don't hesitate to drop me a line. If there's anything i've learned from this life, it's that people need to rely on each other when the chips are down. Especially in the trans community... So many of my brothers & sisters have died because no one reached out to them, and no one helped when they reached out to others. It's no mystery why over 41% of my sisters end up taking their own lives -- with over 59% attempting. Confiding in friends is what helps us get by. And those friends are all many of us have, for our families abandoned us long ago... I know that i am not yet a friend, but you can confide in me if you need to.

Thank you Kaos! I feel like there's so many of you who know or have seen me around, that i am mildly embarrassed to not know you all better than i do.
I should like to change that
Thank you for congratulating me

Thank you Insane! I can honestly say i am shocked at how supportive so many have been since returning as the real me. The posts, the messages, the emails. It's just beyond any and all expectations i had of people would react to me. It's difficult to explain something so complicated to some people. Many get the idea that you are an entirely different person than you were. And in some significant ways i am -- biochemically for starters. But bottom-line is, i am essentially the same person. I haven't become a new me. No... this is more about people's willingness to see who i've always been.
I'm just so glad to know people have their eyes... and hearts open. Because i'm not quite the "tough guy" everyone remembers. Never really was.

Thank you chopper! Oh yeah, you don't say? Which video was that then? It wasn't the Haz video was it? hehehe I seem to have something of a reputation from that -- not that i'm proud of it. I just did what needed to be done.
Regardless of whether it was warranted or not -- which i think many would agree it was -- it was still unbecoming of a moderator to engage someone the way i did. I took the fight to him because that's all a bully like Haz understands, is force. In the end i felt in terrible conflict about the whole event, and took leave of my duties here for sometime while i tried to get my mind right.
But i ended up recouping much more

Much appreciated jamie, i had been taking work as an over the road driver, and it caused me togain 100+ pounds in less than a years time, my health went to total garbage, i started having wierd things wrong with me, and anything but sitting in a chair caused extreme back, ankle, and knee pain. i was retaining tons of water which leaked out my skin and left me constantly soaked and disgusting feeling....then to make it worse i went a year unemployed. But i started a new job working security that forces me to walk over a mile every day and my health has bounced back and done a 180. im doing normal everyday stuff again with enough pain to cause discomfort, but not debilitating like before. Im still a bloated ugly blob of chewwed bubble gum, but i feel like a million bucks compared to where i was at 6 mos ago. if i had continued the downward spiral i probably wouldnt be posting here today. id be 6 feet under from a heart attack or stroke (which the doctors were surprised i hadnt suffered already)

Welcome from a forum noob, Jamie. I'm glad you finally feel confident and comfortable enough to be the real you. I've found that there are "Conservative" people, and conservative people. The former are those who want to throw society back to some imagined previous setting, such as the heavily romanticized "1950's," not realizing that their ideal never existed. The latter group, to which I myself belong, recognize that while everyone is different on the outside, that's just for variety. It's what's in our minds and hearts that counts. While I may not agree with your bumper sticker, you can bet your last dollar I'll have your back when it's time to fight for your right to stick that puppy on your bumper Flint

Dunno the backlog, but I'm glad you're getting a warm welcome back, and actually, reading this thread gave me enough encouragement to sign up myself! Stay true to yourself, that way we'll make the world a more accepting place step by step. Much love from Finland!
Whoa sorry for the necropost, didn't realize the thread could be so old, I mean it was on the first page and not even all the way on the bottom!

The Welcome Wagon section doesn't get used very often.
