There isn't a site to link to, it's just me making wasters.

WOOHOO!!! Nobody will be as jacked up as me about these. But they are my first wasters. And I can hardly wait to start training with them singly and with a few selected training partners. When I saw brotherbanzai post about making these I HAD to try out a set. They came via UPS today. And I like 'em. They seem a little bit on the heavy and beefy side. But I'm glad they start a little heavy and can be tailored down to match a steel sharp sword's balance and handling. And that's exactly what I plan on doing. That is, pick two longswords and two single handers and match one of these as closely as possible to each steel sharp. Now, anyone have good recommendations for a source and selection of padded gloves/gauntlets and fencing masks? And thanks brotherbonzai!

Glad you like them ShooterMike! Hmm, I could try adding a fuller to them to lighten them up. They weigh the same as my steel longsword as they are. There's actually some weight added to the arming swords' grips to put the balance back where you requested it. But as you say, you can shave (machine, file, sand, or whatever method you prefer) them down to match whatever steel swords you get. Maybe I should offer that as an option, custom matching to a particular sword? This is the lest expensive place that I've found masks: shop.fencing.net/category_s/66.htmI get catalogs all the time for my street bike and I've been thinking that a pair of the armored street gloves might be ideal. They are gauntlet style and are supple on the inside.

My fiancee has the 3-weapon mask, and it has held up fairly well so far. No complaints.
