Just a crazy idea...when you put a scent stopper into opponets nose with a proper speed its name has a very litteral meaning... You may be right about According to some, like Gus (Trim) that is exactly why it is called that...also called a beak breaker. Others say it is because it resemples the stopper on a crystal perfume vial.

Ahh... given me.. I'd be torn betw the Norman & the Gothic.... love their hilts, esp. the pommel. Something bothers me, however: according to my novice knowledge abt medieval swords, thot these 2 swords should possess fullers that covers the entire blade length Would someone like to clarify this??

The norman "seems" to be a type Xa or XI dpeneding on how you would look at the fuller. You also can't see how far the fuller travels, but it should generally be 2/3 blade length or longer.
I don't think the gothic would have a long fuller. I can't see the point of the sword but, given the era I would place it in (1350-1400 I believe) thrusts would be the predominant style of attacking and therefore a straighter, more rigid center ridge would be needed, as opposed to a fuller.
Again, this is all based on a lot of assumptions. You really can't see anything other than the hilts and the first half a foot of blade.

Nah Rammstein , if you click the picture you get a pic of the whole sword.
Larry, it is my understanding that the Norman should have a fuller like a viking...

Ah I see it now.
The norman sword seems more than fine, but I'm not certain enough to make any judgements on the gothic.
