I have not seen these! Nice! I wonder what the best value for the money will be between these Hanwei pieces and the Valian Armoury pieces? Hmmmmmm......

That's an interesting question, george. I take it that you mean to compare Valiant's Signature line, with aid of Angus Trim and Christian Fletcher (I think?) to these new Hanwei/Tinker swords? I'd certainly be interested in hearing how they compare, especially by virtue of cost.
At this point in time, Valiant's Signature stuff has my eye more than these, but that's basing on aesthetics as displayed by prototype photos; if the Hanwei/Tinker stuff turns out looking better and/or out-performing Valiant's Trim/Fletcher-based swords, with comparable pricing, my mind may change.
Only time will tell at this point.

I really like that bastard sword blunt. It's almost like a Type X but with more of a taper. Neato.

I think the type is stated as as XVIIIa .
A little thing I noted is that the crossguard seems to be *identical* to the practical hand an a half crossguard. I guess it's a way for Hanwei to save cost, and well, I'm ok with that.

The blunt's designation is N/A, it is the one in parenthesis. The sharp is an XVIIIa, you are right.

The flare on the base of the blade on that longsword of that tinker/hanwei looks a lot like an LPM type sword, very interesting.

If the cost is right, the bastard swords (both sharp and blunt) may work their way to the top of my "must buy" list. I just wish they'd offer an scabbard option with the sharp though... ![???](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

They both look good to me, tho the second one is especially sweet. I'd be interested to see what the price comes out too. I thought I read that the sharps will have a scabbard, at least I saw that for the first one. After a second look I like the blade on the first one best, I just really prefer a wheel pommel.

First prototype of the long sword shouldn't be far off. Can't wait to see it. The current plan is to offer the sharps with scabbard, depending on final cost. They will be fairly simple pieces. Oh, and I have Tinker's Bastard Swords here with me... production sword #1 will be mine once available ![;)](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Blake
