Hey guys. I'm looking for help on where to buy a real Longclaw sword forged in high carbon steel. To those of you who has not watched the BEST show in the century, 'Game of Thrones', the sword looks like this. Please help!! I must have one in my collection.

Ooh, thanks for the quick reply. Do you know the price of Longclaw in the second link?

Brendan`s custom swords start from 2500 Australian dollars as far as i know and increasing depending on your additional requests. All of his swords are one of a kind. You can get a better price quota from him. His email is: brendan@fableblades.com!

Hey Kraken, you are in luck as the sword you posted Rick Barrett's Longclaw is up for sale right now, here is a link to the sale page ( www.beautifulblades.com/products/show/520 ) it is a great looking sword and would be a awesome sword to review and would be the centre piece of any sword collection.

Better be top quality, natural rubies at that price. And a solid silver pommel.

Saw the Barret Longclaw in person a couple weeks back, and it is quite impressive. Has a real understated, refined look to it and absolute attention to detail. Whether or not you want understated at 16k is debatable though

16k subtract 10k for smith name and commission. 6k maybe would be a fair price used.
I am way sure the fellow who commissioned this sword did not pay anything near this selling price. Insane selling price.

Its still a lot of money even at $6k ish, but i feel at the $16k mark they are targeting a pretty small % of the market, the cashed up % that perhaps doesn’t do the research and buys because they want it, not that there is anything wrong with that I really like Brendan’s version, and to be quite frank im really hoping to be in a position to work with him in the coming months

I think that if this was your dream sword, 16k is a small price for that dream, when I first saw this sword about 6 months ago I was very tempted to lay down the cash, it is a one off master piece, but this is not my dream sword so I passed on it and would be just as happy with Brendan's Fable blade version, only you can make that call but dam is nice piece of steel.

I see it as an investment piece, but getting in at the 16K mark one would have to pray for a dramatic upswing in the demand for one off swords to realize any return on their investment.
Pork bellies or Oil futures might be a safer gamble................... :?:

I completely agree. 6k would seem like a fair price. 16k is just...
I really like Brendan and Jeff's work. 2,500 to 3000 seems very reasonable and his work is flawless.

For 16k you can have a serious collection from Albion or you can build up a nice collection from Brenno. For 16k some people live for a year. i guess i`d never spend that much for my hobby. That`s simply too much.

If this had been available for 6k when I first saw it for sale, it would now be mine :0, unfortunatly since then time has moved on and so has my money, wonder how much Du-Sith would sell for.

$6k is probably about the right price, Albion Museum line is between $2k to $4K (give or take) add a scabbard and you’re not far from the $6k...... and it’s made by Rick Barrett.
One gripe of have with the site selling this and other swords, they are after TOP prices and are giving such little content, where are all the details, exacting measurements, for the prices they are chasing they should be providing a review?

I read Daves post about Du-Sith and darn near fell out of my chair trying to change screens to find the site where it was for sale. Then I reread it a bit slower......................................return to normal. Realistically, it would in all likelyhood be above my means at present.
