Most bow-hunters in PA are 60# and under. Only a few of us are crazy enough to use heavier bows. Even for bears in PA, you really don't need anything heavier. Of course, even among those who use heavier bows, I stand out for using a longbow rather than a compound. I am at 80# now and also have a 45# and got my wife a 35# bow from Whipperwhil Archery in PA ( www.facebook.com/pages/Whipperwi ... 7658044258 ). Completely custom work for $250 for each bow. And when my 45# failed, he replaced it for free. He was very upset that bow failed, and he is ready to do 2 heavier bows for me. Although horn tips are $50 extra and there's a $100 surcharge for anything 100# and up. He also works with Yew, but that has its own price index because it costs so much to get good wood.

Defenitly an arm guard I like the robin hood bracer that you showed, as for the string slap I was having a problem but I kept adjusting the brace height and i don't fully straighten my arm. Right now i'm using an arrow rest and vaned arrow's i plan on getting some flecthed one's soon so i can shoot off the shelf and hopefully enter some local tournaments. I got a samick sage from3 rivers as well and absolutely love it.
